Chapter 26 - The Truth

A/N: Sorry that the last couple of chapters have been short. They're pretty much just fill in chapters so we can get to L.A. I can't wait for you guys to read! Comment/Vote xx 

(Niall's P.O.V.)

The girls were all admiring the plane, while I just sat on the couch and checked twitter. 

Headed to L.A. Can't wait for the concert! Gonna be a good one!  I tweeted. I looked up to find Sydney standing in front of me. She sat down next to me and rested her head on my shoulder. She yawned.

"Is someone a bit sleepy?" I said looking at her.

"Yeah." She said.

"Well here, the couch is all yours." I said standing up, but she grabbed my arm.

"Stay with me." She said. I smiled and sat back down. She used my lap as a pillow. I took out my phone and started playing games on it. I looked down to see that she was already asleep. I smiled.

"Well I guess somebody was tired." Darrian said laughing. Everyone then looked over and laughed. Soon enough Zayn, Harry, and Lou had all fallen asleep, so it was just Darrian, Liam, Paige, and I. All of a sudden Sydney's phone went off. I picked it up and answered it.

"Hello?" I said. I didn't check the caller I.D. so I didn't know who it was.

"Who's this?" a male voice said.

"I'm a friend of Sydney's..." I said not wanting to give away my name just in case. 

"Well can I talk to Sydney please." he asked sounding a bit annoyed.

"She's unavailable at the moment, but can a take a message?" I said. 

"Who is it?" Paige asked me. I shrugged my shoulders. "Give me the phone." She said so I handed it over. "Hello?" she said. At that point, I had zoned out and started playing on my phone again.

(Paige's P.O.V.)

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Sydney?" the person on the other end said.

"David, Darrian told you not to contact her." I said angry as ever. Niall looked up from his phone, suddenly intrigued by the conversation. 

"You're not the boss of me!" he said actly like a child.

"Stop acting like a child. You need to understand, that she has moved on. It's time to let go forever David. So don't contact her again!" I said and hung up.

"Alright who's this David guy?" Niall asked. 

"I can't tell you. That is something you'll have to hear from Syd." I said, and as if on cue, she woke up. 

"What about me?" She asked. 

"Oh nothing." I said. 

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Niall said. Oh boy, this could get messy.

(Sydney's P.O.V.)

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Niall asked me.

"Yeah of course." I said. We walked over to the back of the plane so we were alone.

"Who's David, and why does he keep calling you?" he said. I froze instinly. "Sydney? Sydney?" He said waving his hand in front of my face. I must've zoned out.

"Ummm.......he's.........ummmmmmmmm.........." Just then Darrian popped up. She had a box of tissues, and she set them on the table. 

"You're probably gonna want these." she said, and then walked back to wherever she was before. I sighed.

"David," I paused after saying his name. "is an ex of mine." I said.

"Oh well why didn't you just say that. I thought there was so---" I stopped him before he could finish.

"There's more." I said. "A few years ago, we reconnected, and sort of had a 'thing'." I said puttin air quotes around thing. "He transfered schools, and we stayed in touch, but then he met this girl and they started dating." I shivered a bit remembering the horrible feeling I had had when he told me. "I didn't take the news very well. We started fighting a lot, and he called me.........some names.........and after that, I just stopped talking to him all together. I didn't trust him after that. It took me forever to get over him. I cried every night for 2 years. I haven't dated anyone since. I have trust issues because of the whole thing." I said taking a deep breathe letting some tears fall. He just sat there for a minute staring at me. I was about to get up to walk to the bathroom and cry, but then he grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug. I couldn't hold the tears in any longer and I just sat there crying in his arms. 

"It's ok. shhhh." he said rubbing my back. He kissed the top of my forhead and held me tighter. Darrian and Paige came towards us and just stood there. 

"I take it she told you." Paige said to Niall. He just nodded. The girls then came over and we were in a giant group hug. The rest of the boys had woken up and came and joined the group hug, I felt so much better afterwards.
