Mistake or Fate? (Book 1) *BEING EDITED*

Chapter 18 - Scary Movies, and a Race Around the Neighborhood

(Paige's P.O.V.)

Once everyone had calmed down and Zayn had regained his pride, we made our way to the living room to watch some T.V. We were fighting over who would get the remote. Darrian had it at first, but then Louis took it from her, and then me, being the fiesty chica that I am, took it from him, but sadly as I was gloating, in which I was sticking my tounge out at Louis, Liam stole it from me.

"HAHA! I GOT IT!" Liam said. I beginning to loathe that boy. Although, just as Liam was about to change the channel, Harry took it from him.

"Haha who's the man now!" Harry said. Sydney then stood up infront of him.

"Give me the remote, NOW!" She said.

"And if I don't?" Harry said.

"You really shouldn't do that." I said feeling sorry for that poor boy.

"Do you want to live to see L.A.?!" She said standing directly over him. 

"Y-yes." he said stuttering a bit. hehehe he's scared now.

"Then I suggest you hand the remote over to me NOW!" She siad sort of yelling. Harry then shyly handed the remote over and sunk back into the couch. 

"Thank you" Syd said sitting back down. She went directly to Netflix and went to the Thriller Movie section. 

"Aww come on I don't like scary movies!" Louis said. Such a sweet boy.

"It's ok Lou. I'll comfort you!" I said.  

"Yeah if you're not freaking out yourself!" Darrian said. I was known for closing my eyes during scary movies. 

"Toché" I said. She did have a point there.

"Ok anyway, we are watching a scary movie whether you guys like it or not! I am the one with the remote and so what I say goes." a chorus of 'Fines' followed that. Soon afterwords we were watching The Innkeepers.

About a half hour later, I found myself shaking in Louis' lap. I looked around to find Zayn and Liam hugging, DJ on Harrys lap, and Syd on Niall's. All of a sudden a face appeared and we all screamed. A few minutes later, there was a quiet moment in the movie. We were all settling from the last scare. 

"POTATO!" 

"AHHHHHHH WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?!" Harry screamed. Syd paused the movie, well the better term is tried, she tried to pause the movie as she was laughing her ass off. 

"No, seriously, what was that!" Liam said. Syd was just rolling on the floor. 

"Why is she laughing?" Zayn said confused. Syd just started pointing towords the table, and when I looked, I realized where it was coming from and started laughing with Syd. The boys just looked at us like we were on crack. DJ was trying to figure it out, but when she did she explained. 

"It was Syd's phone!" 

"ohhhhhhhhh." They said. 

"I don't get what's so funny." Harry said. Syd and I calmed down enough to explain it.

"I was laughing because.....well I don't really know why." I said. I really didn't know why I was laughing.

"I was laughing because it scared you guys so much that I thought it was hillarious. Plus you should've seen the look on your face!" She said and began laughing again. Harry just kind of glared at her. 

"YOU BETTER RUN!" Harry said standing up, Sydney then got up and ran around the house, until there was no where else to run, so she grabbed her phone, ran out the door, Harry hot on her trail, and dashed down the street. The rest of us hopped up and watched them go around in circles as they went around the neighborhood. 

"He still hasn't caught her yet, thats the funny thing!" I said while laughing. The boys went over to explore the backyard, so we followed. Harry at that point had given up so they had come to join us.

"What's this?" Zayn said pointing to the fire pit.

"That's a fire pit." Syd said catching her breathe. She had just run like a mile or two. 

"OOOOO DO YOU HAVE MARSHMELLOWS?!!!" Louis said.

"ummm.......I don't know, but let's go finish the movie first. Then we can go look." Syd said and we all filed back in through the door and into the living room. Syd pressed play and within minutes we were back in our original possitions from before. I didn't mind, it was quite nice actually.

The movie ended and we just decided to see what was on T.V. Sydney was flipping through the channels. We were all just talking when Sydney got a phone call............
