Now it's only Gwen and I left standing at school. Yesterday Enid died too, and that means I was wrong.
I was wrong about being able to catch them.
I was wrong about it being a pupil.
It couldn't be.
It wasn't Gwen and it certainly wasn't me.
I went back to form, needing to tell Gwen, but when I got back, she was nowhere to be seen. I stepped into the middle of the room and suddenly there was a crash! as the door behind me was slammed shut. Spinning on my heel, I gasped as I saw who it was.
"Gwen? Where were you?" She remained silent. "Gwen?"
It was then I realised the truth, as she slowly looked up at me. She looked so menacing at that moment. I never thought she was capable of it, but it was. I was wrong about her. "Hello, Skie."
"It was you?!" My heart was beating out of my chest. It really was her.
"Maybe," she smirked. Her eyes sparkled dangerously, before launching herself at me. Luckily, I managed to dodge her grasp, and I tried to run desperately towards the door.
Unfortunately, she tripped me up and I stumbled. Then I turned round, standing face to face with her-no, not her. But a monster living inside her.
Before I knew it, she'd pounced and had me pinned down on the floor, my arms and legs were rendered useless. She slapped me across the face with the back of her right hand and as I winced at the pain, she whipped out a knife; then I screamed as the knife cut into my flesh, causing a throbbing sensation.
Then I stopped breathing and everything went black...
