She's smart, she's fair, she's pretty,
But what about me?
She's handy, she's skillful, she's artsy,
But what about me?
She's perfect, she has it all,
Never would you ever see her fall.
But what about me?
What about me?
What about the girl who barely sleeps?
The one who in silence cries and weeps?
Fakes a smile, a giggle, a laugh,
Every day living her life a bluff.
Underneath that mask a broken soul cries,
Help me, save me, I don't want to die!
Despite so upon her words she chocked,
Letter per letter she stumbled yet bellowed.
Gasped for air, failed to respire,
Drowning in water, burning in fire.
Her plea for mercy was left disregarded,
Concealed beneath a cloak, remained undetected.
Overshadowed by the smart, the perfect, the pretty,
Left with a question on her lips, what about me?
