[AN: It's finally here. The end of this story. I made you wait long enough didn't I?]

Kelli sighed as she entered her house back in Arizona. Despite having picked out all the furnishings, and it being filled with her things it just didn’t feel like home. How could it when her heart was back in California? She missed the giggles of her nephew Nate as she tickled him. She missed Joe and Jane bickering about who could give her the better advice. But most of all she missed Nick. She had to face the truth as she looked at her living entry way’s wall. She had allowed herself to fall head over heels for Nick Jonas.

“Really Tasha?” she asked aloud as she made her way into the kitchen. The place was a certified mess. Dirty dishes were piled high in the sink. The garbage has spilled out onto the floor. She sighed as she opened the fridge not at all surprised to find it empty of everything except for a few condiment containers. Kelli waded through her tossed living room as she made her way up to her bedroom. She needed to lie down before tackling that cleaning project. “God Damn it!”

It appeared that Tasha had helped herself to a few select pieces of Kelli’s clothing as well. What she hadn’t stolen was strewn about the floor of her closet. Tasha had also ransacked the jewelry box taking everything except for that silver bracelet in the shape of books. The one Jane had given to her all those years ago. There was a small note taped to it.

[TASHA’S NOTE]: Kel, I’ll return everything later, okay? I made sure to leave your precious bracelet. It doesn’t suit me anyway. No friend of mine would ever love me enough to get me something nice.  If I had friends that is. –T

Kelli frowned and slumped onto her bed. Was Nick just another possession that Tasha would give back once she was done with him? She had left her with Nick because she saw how much Tasha needed someone to take care of her. Nick was the kind of stand up person to do that. Despite her note, Kelli considered herself to be Tasha’s cousin and her friend. So she had given Tasha the one thing that was most precious to her; Nick.

She pulled her phone from her purse turning it on. Just as she expected there were several missed calls from both Joe and Jane along with some increasingly worried texts from Jane’s number.

[JANE’S TEXTS]:

Do not get on that plane.

If U get on that plane I will hurt u.

Nick loves u. I’m positive.

Nate misses his auntie.

I’m researching ways to have you arrested and brought back here.

Tasha is lying. The baby is not Nick’s.

I’m coming after u!!!

She laughed at the last few texts. Apparently Joe had quickly confiscated his wife’s phone.

Ignore my crazy wife. Call us when u get home?

Jane says to tell u she’s packing now. Don’t worry. She’s not going anywhere.

She felt tears pricking at the edge of her eyes as she read the final message.

I got u a gift. It should show up soon. Remember we love u. Call if u need to talk. – Joe.

Joe was so sweet sometimes. She was glad that Jane had ended up with him. It was finally sinking in that she had really given up Nick. There was no going back now. In a twisted sort of way Tasha had won, and maybe that was ok. Tasha needed the support Nick could provide more. Kelli had more than a few friends that could provide her with the love and support she needed unlike Tasha. That’s why she had always let her get away with murder. She knew Tasha’s behavior was born out of jealousy more than anything. Nick would be good for her. He would love that baby as if it was his own. Yeah, she knew it wasn’t Nick’s kid. Her phone rang breaking her from her thoughts, and she sighed as she saw Tasha’s name pop up on the phone screen.  [AN: I’m just going to put their names when they are talking because I am lazy.]
