Yugyeom's POV
-:-
I stumbled out of bed, shoving past all the members who held their arms out, trying to get me back to bed so I could rest. "I need to see if y/n is okay," I croaked, pushing Jaebum back down into his chair with my one functioning arm before proceeding to limp out of my room, wincing with each heavy step I took.
Each corridor looked the same, blindingly white and blurry, people scurrying back and forth, room to room, dizzying me further. I stopped at every room, looking for y/n, my eyelids heavy but forced open by my determination to find them, to find y/n.
"Y/f/n?" I paused at the sound of their name ringing through the hallway, looking up I found a nurse flicking through her clipboard and nodding at the writing she read on the pages. "Yes, she has temporarily lost her eyesight. Her cranium was hit very hard, until the bruising recovers and the cloud moves away from behind her eyes, she won't be able to see. We hope it passes soon." The nurse closed her clipboard, smiling at a woman who seemed broken, clutching at her scarf as though it were her current life source.
I ignored her, stumbling forward and grabbing the nurse by the shoulders. My eyes were wide, boring into her hardly as she stuttered for words, "where's y/n?"
"I-I," she choked, unable to speak, staring at me like I was a pokemon come to kidnap her.
"Tell me," I repeated roughly, shaking her a little, causing her to croak the room number weakly. I sent the woman beside us one last glance, her face still appearing heartbroken but now laced with shock, fear almost.
I nudged the nurse to the side before limping down the hallway again, scanning each door number for the number 61.
56.
57.
58.
59.
60.
61. My eyes widened and I pulled the door open viciously, almost falling inside in my haste to see them, to check if y/n was okay. She has temporarily lost her eyesight. I pushed those words out of my head, allowing a small cry to leave my throat as I found her, bruised and broken in the middle of her bed. He eyes were wide open, searching into the nothingness that she could see.
"Who is it? Where are you?" My heart dropped like a boulder into the pit of my stomach when she stared at the painting on the wall next to me, tears filling in her eyes. "Who is it?" She repeated.
"It's me," I whispered softly, making my way forward slowly. "It's Yugyeom."
A tear slid from her eye, trailing down her face before lingering beside her trembling lips. I leaned forward and wiped the tear away, tears springing to my own eyes when she jumped at the touch. "I-I can't see anything." She whimpered, feeling down the bed until she found the hem of her blanket, pulling it to her chest.
"I know."
"I don't know what to do, I can't do anything Yugyeom." Another tear fell.
"I know."
"I want to see my family, I want to see you and for God's sake I want to read."
"I know."
"No." She snapped, "no you don't know. You can see everything, you can see your family, you can see me and you can read. All I want to do is read," her voice cracked and she began crying again. Each sob tore at my chest, I placed myself beside her, pulling her into my embrace softly, allowing her to cry into my chest.
"I know, y/n. Let me be here for you." I whispered, rubbing her hair soothingly as she continued to whimper into my body, clutching my good arm.
"Ok."
