The day of the Yule Ball came, yet Liv had absolutely nothing to wear. She rushed to Ray's dormitory, conflicted. Lily was there too.

"Need something to wear?" Lily smiled and opened the dorm, revealing tons of dresses all over the places.

"My mom couldn't decide which dress to buy me...So she sent me all of these." Ray laughed. "Try some on, see what you like."

"Did someone ask you to the Ball?" Liv asked curiously

"Remus did!" Lily exclaimed. Ray playfully hit her, her face turning red.

"I think we're just going as friends." Ray tells her. "Now come in and look at all these dresses!"

Liv dug through the piles, firstly trying on a long, red dress. Not her style. She then tried on a green dress she liked. It was too tight. Then, she tried on a black one she thought would be the one, but it didn't look good on her. Then she saw it; a light blue dress. She knew it would be perfect. She tried it on and loved it.

"That's the one." Lily exclaimed, hugging Liv.

"Makeup?" Ray asked.

"Only eyeshadow and blush. I'm not a huge fan," Liv smiled and walked over to Ray so she could do her makeup. She put on a nice nude shade for her eyeshadow, and a wine red color for her lips. Liv looked at herself in the mirror and smiled, satisfied with how she looked.

"Thank you so much guys. Really. Tonight is going to be so fun!" Liv grinned.

"Yeah, but too bad wizard rock sucks." Lily chuckled as she helped Ray do her hair.

"It's okay, but muggle rock is better I have to admit." Liv smiled as she watched Lily do Ray's hair, and Ray yelling "oww!" occasionally.

"Oh my godric, Ray, I'm not even pulling your hair!" Lily laughed.

"You may think that, but you're wrong." Ray protests, yelling in pain once again.

"Don't be dramatic." Lily teased and she finally finished Ray's hair. "There."

"Thanks Lils! It was definitely worth how painful it was." Ray chuckled.

"Alright." Lily laughed. "We're out of here!"

"But the Ball doesn't start for another hour! If we get there early, we may be forced into helping set up, and I'm not in the mood right now." Liv says. "Let's get some butterbeer before we head off?"

"Sure!" The two of her friends agreed, and they made their way to The Three Broomsticks. Little did they know that the boys were in their dorms, helping each other get ready too.

"Sirius, no, hair gel makes your hair look terrible," Peter says, grabbing the hair gel before Sirius could. Sirius groaned and reached for it, but Peter somehow made it disappear. Sirius frowned.

"Liv will like how you look." Peter assured her. He shrugged.

"I guess." Sirius shrugged once again, but little did Peter know that he had his mind on someone else. Boy, he felt guilty, but it was too late to take a rain check on Liv.

"James, you don't need to wear contacts! You still are a klutz with those things. Plus your glasses look better on you!" Peter assured, running over to James. "Who are you trying to impress anyway? Lily?"
