A\N: I'm hoping more will read this at some point. Everyday I think of new ideas and new chapters. I should've said this the first two chapters but I'll say it now thank you everyone who has read it and don't be shy about giving feedback! Have fun!
The killer prowled around the room looking for her. She was here. The killer could smell her. Crash! Surprised the killer looked up and readied his gun to kill his victim. It couldn't be the one he was after. No the noise maker's footsteps were lighter then the girl's by far. The killer snarled as he backed up against the wall terrified now as the footsteps came closer. The killer found a window and quickly climbed out as he scattered.
"I know I left it here at some point," the noise maker said with a frown. He looked at the bottle and a cup, "Oh no."
The noise maker picked up the girl's book that was set on the counter. He smirked a little and put on the inside of his new jacket. His blue eyes scanned the area as he made sure the killer wasn't around. He heard little shuffling from a room. Stepping towards it the shuffling stopped.
"What the hell?" He mumbled and rubbed the back of his neck.Veronica heard the footsteps. How many people were in her home. A small whimper came from her throat. 'JD if you're alive help me,' she thought as she shut her eyes tightly. She heard one person run out of her home but the other one came towards her door.
"What the hell?" The voice said aloud. She recognised it. It was his. Veronica let out a tiny yelp of surprise as the door knob began to turn. She goes to lock the door but the door swung out and revealed a man. Blue eyes and dark hair. She looked him up and frowned before trying to grab for the door.
"You took my trench," the man said and he smirked to himself,"Damn I thought you were over me."
"I am Mr. Dean," she glared,"you're supposed to be dead! And if you are I'm seeing more dead people then I can handle."
"I'm on your side here. I'm following a copy cat murderer and you were going to be his victim," he defended.
"Go away!" She snapped and glared,"you were dead for so many years why. Why did you come back! J-just go and never come back!"The man frowned and took off his glasses to rub his eyes. He looked over at Veronica who stared at him in anger. He didn't blame her. He did leave her and led her to believe that he was dead and gone. Still she had his jacket on her. So some part of her missed him as terribly as he missed her.
"Okay Veronica. I'll go. But can I have my trench back?" He asked with a frown.
Stubbornly, Veronica shook her head and held onto the jacket in fear if she did give it to him that he would leave. For good this time.
"JD why," she mumbled and looked down not wanting to meet his eyes. He looked the same to her and he smelled the same to her. Cigarettes and gunpowder. Slowly, Veronica stepped out of the closet and punched her killer in the stomach as hard as she could. She noticed his left middle finger was gone and she nodded taking in the evidence that he was her killer. Her ex. Her love. Hers. JD groaned a little and held his stomach.
"Damn you woman," he mumbled in pain,"my question is why did you write about us?"Why did she write about them? The thought never crossed her mind until JD asked her about it. She shook her head not wanting to answer him.
"Ronica why did you write it?" He asked a frown now forming on his lips,"I'm asking because you have a killer following your every move."
"How funny," she mumbled,"I thought you were trying to be original again. Using the drain cleaner on me like yo-"
"Now now. We both killed her," JD interrupted his blue eyes narrowed down,"and your so original by hiding in a closet. If I could hear you. So could the killer."
"How do you know about all this Jason?" Veronica looked at him with intense brown eyes. He never aged a day in her mind. He filled out and had unshaven face but he still looked like her JD.
"I um. I hacked into the police station," JD said as he visibly studied her features,"he's a rogue fan that seems to be fascinated by my character and the more troubling of the factor. He's obsessed with you."
A tiny whimper escaped the back of her throat and soon she felt helpless. She shook her head as she started to back into the walls. 'No. No. NO! Not again. I can't live through the lies and murders again' she thought. Veronica looked at her ex and tried to find comfort in his eyes. JD pulled her into a comforting hug as he planned for ways to protect Veronica. His Veronica. Veronica didn't move a muscle. She kept herself tense as she thought about the future. She felt his head lay on hers. A tiny whimper escaped her throat which soon subsided as exhaustion came over her.
JD felt her grow heavy in his arms. He picked her up gently and took her to her room. 'I'll check around the house and then leave,' he thought and sighed a little to himself. He looked down at her when he reached a room that was most likely hers and laid her down on the sheets. He brought a blanket over her and waited till she succumbed to full sleep. He smiled a little then walked away.
"Sleep well Veronica. I'll come back to check on you," he said softly into the dark room.JD exited the house after his final checkout and headed home.
