Veronica was up late one night typing at her computer. She was using recent events as she created a new series of books. Her eyes started to fight back however due to the lack of sleep she had been getting. With JD back and a new killer. No not killer. Crazed fan. Maybe a deranged fan to say the least. Whoever they were, she would put an end to their havoc before they could put an end to her.
There was a knock at the door before the door opened. Veronica jumped and grabbed for anything that could save her life. She grabbed a small yet sturdy kitchen knife. She waited by the kitchen entrance as she waited for her attacker.
"Who the hell is there?" Veronica snapped angrily. This was a dangerous thing to do but she had done worse.
"Oh you know. The oh so scary," the voice said and stalked over to Veronica, "High School Killer."
Veronica relieved to see him put the knife down but remembered the note and backed away from him. He couldn't be trusted. Not yet. It was hard not to run into his arms and know he had everything under control. He was still a killer. They couldn't be trusted. JD looked at her worried for a moment before figuring out her predicament on his own. Veronica pushed past him and left for her computer. She sat down and as she did. She felt a pair of firm yet gentle arms take hold of her. She glanced up at him and made know movement in protest at his affection. Oh how she missed this. She craved this but now. Now was the present and there was a psychopath roaming the streets. One was in her home. The note came back into her thoughts and she tensed up.
"Easy Ronica. Easy," he mumbled in her ear.
"Did you write it JD?" She asked, "did you write the note?"
" What note Ronica? Is that why you ran off yesterday because of some notes?" JD frowned looking down at her.
Veronica nodded and got up out of his arms going to her clothes basket. She took out the piece of paper and handed it to her killer. 'Recognize the HandWriting. You're next Veronica. It'll be soon to have your head and the others on my wall'. JD frowned looking at the threat.
"Well this person is obviously good at forging notes the same way you were Ronica. Cause it's extremely close to my own writing," JD frowned more and looked at her.
"So it wasn't you that wrote it?"
"Nope Ronica. I've kept my nose out of killing people since the bomb  incident. I'm glad you saved me from that," her killer mentioned and she felt her face burn a bright red.
"Why didn't you comeback then?" She asked softly looking at him.
"If I told you. You'd wouldn't believe me."
Veronica frowned thinking about what he could've done to be hidden away all this time. JD watched her carefully debating on if should tell her. He already told her that he hacked the police station. What would happen if he told her that he was planning anarchy with two other people. Veronica waited impatiently and soon walked off having the feeling of resentment. She started to walk away but JD took her by the hand. She looked at him with a glare that would kill if it could. She backed away from him.
"Veronica. I'm still hopelessly in love with you. Because I love you. I'm bringing the world to its knees," he said with wide eyes, "Our love is God Veronica. And someday you'll thank me for it."
Her killer dug into his pocket and pulled out a mask that resembled a character from the monopoly game. He put it on over his head and snarled. Veronica reached for the knife and dove at him. JD dodged her with ease and quickly went after his real target. The killer was near and being a psychopath himself, he had that feeling. Veronica breathed heavily and locked her bedroom door and window. She paced a around thinking for sure now that it was JD. Whack! Whack! Boom! Her door swung open and a figure with a croquet mallet in hand walked in and stared down Veronica. The killer had the same mask on as JD but their eyes were different. The killers eyes were a deep heavy onyx. Her killers eyes were a bluish hazel. She held her knife in hand and stood her ground. The killer took a swing and Veronica ducked quickly. A deranged and mutilated laugh came from the killers mask.
"Your character should've died! Not his! So to make up for his dea-"
JD snarled and grabbed the killer from behind. He tossed him into the hallway and backed up. Veronica frowned and unlocked her window carefully then snuck outside calling the police. JD turned his head and noticed she wasn't there. He jumped from her window and landed beside her taking off the mask. Veronica turned her head and hugged him tightly. He was the lesser of evils at this point and needed comfort. JD laid his head on hers as he held her.
Two hours later, Veronica was in his apartment as the police investigated her house for the killer.
"I'm sorry I brought you in on this Jason. I shouldn't have killed you off in the book. If I didn't maybe I wouldn't ha-"
"Oh believe me. You still would've had a deranged fan Ronica. It's the circle of a writers life," JD said softly and kissed her head gently,"now go to bed. We haves long day of questions  tomorrow."
She nodded and laid on his bed thinking about how the deranged fan felt. 'Jason Dean saved me rather than trying to kill me. I love you Mr. no name kid,' she thought and exhaustion took her over.
