"Today, class, we will be doing an activity to get to know each other better!" The teacher said cheerily. The class responded with a few cheers and a lot of groans.

"Every student must come up and say their name, age, and any information they want to share! This will actually count as your first class work grade." She explained.

"First up... Papyrus Gaster!"

A tall-ish skeleton monster with a red scarf skipped up to the front of the room with a huge smile on his face.

"Hello, everyone! I'm Papyrus! I am 10 and 1/6 years of age, and I am in this grade because of my exemplary skills in every field!" He boasted. There was something strange about him; he bragged about himself but in such an innocent way that Asriel didn't mind.

"My favorite color is orange. Now you may be wondering why I'm wearing a red scarf if my favorite color is orange. I have a simple explanation! You see, my brother is so careless and lazy he forgot my favorite color and got me a red scarf instead. I don't mind, though!" He grinned and skipped back to his seat. What in innocent cinnamon roll, Asriel thought.

"Next... Mettaton Exeaux!"

Asriel took sudden notice of the best looking boy in the room. He had perfectly styled black hair; it was like a short mullet. He was wearing ripped denim shorts and a bright pink tank top that read, 'I didn't wear this shirt to be confused with a heterosexual,' and had the gay pride flag underneath. Asriel could also see he was wearing dark lip gloss and eye shadow.

He swaggered up to the front of the room.

"Hello darlings! I'm Mettaton! I'm 11 years old and I have one thing to say to you all. I am very gay, and if any of you wish to put me down because of it," A shadow crossed his face, "I will make you miserable." His dazzling smile returned and he sauntered back to his seat. Before sitting back down, though, he twirled and slid into a split. He slid back up and sat in his chair gracefully.

"Very nice!" The teacher stifled a laugh. "Frisk Valiente! Come on up!"

Asriel smiled at Frisk as she got up and walked to the front of the room.

"Hey kid, why are your eyes so squinty?" A guy teased from the back of the class. Asriel expected Frisk to be sadly quiet and for the teacher to tell the kid off, but Frisk defended herself!

"Excuse me? Did you really just ask me that? That was very rude. How would you feel if I asked you why you had such large feet?" Everyone stared at his feet. "Or why you couldn't sit properly in class?" He sat up. "Or why you would make a comment on the appearance of a student you haven't even really talked to yet?" She frowned, then turned to the rest of the class and smiled.

"Hi! I'm Frisk. I'm 9, and I love meeting new people and going on adventures! I have an older sister named Chara, and she is my best friend ever. I tell her everything!" Asriel saw Frisk send a death stare at the kid who'd made fun of her eyes, and the kid looked nervous. "That's it. I hope we can all be friends!"

"Asriel Dreemurr!"

Asriel stood up and nervously walked up in front of the class.

"Uh.. Howdy!" A few kids giggled. "I'm Asriel, and I'm 11. I like doing simple things like gardening with my dad, and I like playing LowerStory on my PC. That's it, I guess!" He shuffled back to his seat as quickly as possible.

Asriel zoned out and when the bell rang he saw Chara walk up to the doorway and stand there. It took Asriel a moment to realize she was waiting for him as well as Frisk, so he hurried with his things and dashed to the other end of the room.

"Sorry to keep you waiting! I didn't realize you were waiting for me AND Frisk."

Chara laughed. "You think I'd just abandon you like that?" She put her hand on her heart in fake hurt. "How hurtful!" She giggled.

Asriel laughed. Just then, Papyrus and Mettaton walked up to the trio.

"Hello, darlings!" Mettaton greeted them. Papyrus followed Mettaton's lead. "Greetings!"

Asriel smiled. "Howdy!"

"Nice to finally meet you, Mettaton! Love your shirt." Chara complimented, then turned to Papyrus. "Papy, Sans is looking for you."

Asriel looked at Chara in confusion. "You know these people?"

Chara laughed. "Yup! I've known this one and his brother since they were baby bones. All Papyrus talks about is Mettaton, as well, so I knew him when I saw him."

"Oh, cool! I didn't know tha-"

"Uh.. Guys?" Frisk asked nervously.

"Yeah?" Chara replied.

"Didn't... Didn't Sans say he wanted us to bring Papyrus to him in five minutes?" Frisk stuttered.

Chara's face went pale, if that was even possible with her already very light skin. "Oh crap!" She grabbed Papyrus by his boney wrist and dashed. Asriel ran after her, then Frisk after him, ending up with Mettaton taking up the rear of a train of sixth graders.

Chara skidded to a halt, resulting in everyone else bumping into the person in front of them.

"Sans, look, I'm really sorry for not bringing him sooner, but we all got distracted talking-" Chara started explaining.

"I said five minutes. How hard is that? Next time, bring him sooner. A lot sooner. Got that?" A surprisingly deep voice ordered through gritted teeth.

Frisk slipped past Asriel and went up to the owner of the voice. "Sans, please, calm down. It was simple mistake. Plus, one or two minutes late won't matter in the long run." She soothed him. Sans took a deep breath.

"You're right. Sorry for yelling, Chara. Let me make it up to you by inviting all of you guys over to Papy's and my house!" He smiled. I  scooted into line with Chara and Frisk to look at Sans.

He was a short, round-faced skeleton monster with almost completely black eyes- except for two small white pupils. He was wearing a blue hoodie with white trim, and black basketball shorts. He looked at Asriel. "Oh, hey. Didn't see you there. I'm Sans!" He held out a hand, and Asriel shook it.

"I'm Asriel. Asriel Dreemurr." Sans' permanent smile grew larger.

"Come on guys, my dad's picking us up, and I'm sure he'd be happy to drive us to my house!" Sans said cheerfully.

We all followed him outside the school where a dark navy Subaru was parked. The front window rolled down, and a skeleton poked his face out the window. "

"Hello, children! Are you all coming to my sons' house?" He greeted politely, in the way only a friendly, cinnamon-roll dad could.

We all nodded and said, "Yes!" He smiled.

"Perfect! It's always nice to have some company."

We all clambered into the back seat and buckled up.

"I see we have a new friend! You must be that Asriel Chara mentioned a few days ago," He said, and looked at me. "I'm Dr. W.D. Gaster, but you may call me Gaster if you like!"

Asriel grinned. "Nice to meet you, Doc!" Gaster laughed.

"That nickname will do as well, I suppose," Gaster replied. "Off to an adventure!" He pulled out of the parking spot and drove.

Asriel had the feeling that this playdate would be just as memorable as the one with Chara.
