I couldn't believe my "luck" honestly. I brushed my fingers through my hair as I thought about my son that was sitting in the passenger seat of my car. He was reading a large old looking book, staring at the pages intently as we drove into Storybrooke, Maine. It was hard to believe that it was real. "Alright, kid, which street?" I asked him.

When he refused to give me the address, I parked the car and got out, slamming the door in frustration. He got out too and we were approached by a strange man walking his Dalmatian while carrying an umbrella. 'What a strange little man,' I thought as he knelt down to talk to Henry. I glared at him as we got back into the car. "I can't believe that you're the mayor's kid," I said sternly.

I pulled up to the front of the house and got out with him. A woman dressed in business attire came running out with a man following close behind her. I noted the Sheriff's badge on his coat pocket. The hysterical woman threw her arms around Henry. "I've been so worried about you!" she exclaimed. Henry shoved her away from him.

"I found my real mom!" he shouted as he ran into the house, slamming the door behind him. The woman turned her head to look at me, tears in her eyes and her plump red lips were in a slight pout.

"You're Henry's birth mother?" she asked surprised. I gave her a small wave.

"Hi," I replied. Her face fell even more.

"I'll go check on Henry," he said as he walked into the house. The woman wiped her eyes with the tips of her fingers. I cleared my throat.

"I'm really sorry," I said quietly, staring at the ground. "He came and found me...I just wanted to make sure that he got home safely. Putting him on a bus with random strangers didn't really seem ideal." The woman nodded her head, not meeting my gaze. "I am going to guess that you're the mayor?" She looked up at me with a small smile on her face.

"Yes, I am," she replied softly as she held her hand out to me. "I'm Regina Mills." I shook her hand.

"And I'm Emma Swan." She dropped my hand.

"How would you like a glass of the best tasting apple cidar?" I returned her smile.

"Got anything stronger?" I joked. She giggled and led me up to the house. She let me in first and I followed her into the library. She grabbed two crystal glasses and filled them with some ember colored liquid. I took one from her and took a large drink from the glass. I watched her lips curl around the glass. 'God she's hot.' I watched her for a few more moments.

She looked into my eyes and I was thankful that I was sitting in a chair. "Is there something the matter, Miss Swan?" I shook my head.

"No, of course not," I replied quickly. 'You just make me weak in the knees is all.' "I was just thinking about how delicious this cidar is." She was beaming at my compliment.

"Well thank you, Miss Swan!" I finished the glass and set it down on her table.

"I should really be going. Long drive back to Boston." She nodded and led me to the door.

"It was nice meeting you, Miss Swan." I smiled at her as I stood on the front porch.

"You too, Madame Mayor." I left the house and when I looked back, I saw Henry watching me from his bedroom window. I got into my car and started to drive down the street. When I was leaving town, I had a little bit of trouble. I almost ran over a wolf! I swerved to miss it and ran into the welcome sign. I passed out on impact.
