"Rose, can you come in here please?" I look up from my computer screen, nodding. I follow the attractive brunette into his office and close the door behind me.

"What can I do for you, Mr. Williams?" I ask and he sends me a sexy, crooked smile.

He motions for me to sit and I happily listen. I cross my legs and lay my hands on my thighs and he eyes me. "I just wanted to say that ever since you've started here, the companies sales have skyrocketed. You have really put in work here."

My cheeks grow hot and I know they are cherry red by his words. "Thank you, Sir. That means a lot coming from you." He chuckles at my modesty and gets up from his chair. He walks around his desk and sits on it, directly in front of me.

"I want to make you my assistant. I think it would be good for you to see how things work around here and shadow what I do."

I look at him with raised eyebrows and he chuckles once more. "I need someone who learns quickly around here to take care of things when I'm away on business and if you can handle what I do, then I would love for that someone to be you."

I'm at a lost for words and my heart races. He owns this huge company that racks in millions and millions of dollars each year and he wants ME to take over when he is gone. That is a huge responsibility and I'm so shocked.

"I know this is a lot to take in, but just tell me you'll think about it?"

I shake my head eagerly and he laughs. "What is there to think about? The answer is yes, of course!"

His smile spreads far across his face and he stands up. "That's what I like to hear. I know big things are in store for you, Rose." I stand up and my cheeks hurt from smiling. I wrap my arms around him and he stands still for a moment but then his warm embrace is felt and I couldn't be happier.

I pull away and his cheeks are flushed and I thank him again for the opportunity. As I start to open the door he calls my name. "I have a reservation tonight at Le Bistro for dinner. I was hoping you'd join me.." his voice trials off nervously and I narrow my eyes at him playfully.

"You had a reservation for yourself, Sir?" He goes along with my game and raises his shoulders.

"Well, actually it was for you and I, if by chance you said yes to being my soon-to-be partner in crime. Now if you had said no, then yes, it would have been a reservation for myself."

My laugh emanates throughout the room and he joins along with me. "I'd love to have dinner with you."

His eyes light up and he claps his hands. "Excellent! Meet me there at eight?" I nod, opening the door. Right before I close it, I send him a small wink. His cheeks peak red and I smile heading back to my desk.

I grab my coat and purse and head towards the elevator. As I walk out of the building, I head to my favorite bakery across the street and walk inside.

The smell of fresh coffee and muffins fill my senses and I smile. "Hey, Rose!" I look up from the display case full of baked goods and see a chirpy looking Sam.

"Hey, Sam! Been busy today?"

He nods and rolls his eyes earning a chuckle from me. "It's been ridiculous! Not that I'm complaining though honestly, it's good to see people coming in and enjoying all the things my little store has to offer."

I giggle and shake my head. He hands me my usual and I go to pull out some cash but he stops me. "It's on the house, don't worry about it gorgeous." I put a ten in the tip jar anyways and he glares at me playfully. "Have a good day, Rosey!" I wave and laugh at his nickname for me.
