So Close Yet So Far

Chapter 8

I rushed to get ready to see him. I didn't put on my best clothes because I looked like a wreck. It was something about what he said that got to me. I suppose it was because he made me feel like a princess, like he never felt like this about anyone, and the way he played with my feelings. It just hurts, a lot.

I felt a slight vibration in my back pocket, I pulled out my phone and it was a text message from Justin.

I'm here. I'll be waiting. Just let me explain everything before you say anything.

I just responded with the angry form of OK

I hopped in the car, backed out of the driveway, and started heading towards the park. I kept my eyes on the road, but I couldn't help but to keep thinking of the words he told her.

"I still love you like crazy"

I started to shed a couple tears as I kept repeating that line in my head. I always knew this would be too good to be true. A famous celebrity dating a fan? Yeah, right.

I pulled in the park and saw Justin waiting by a tall brown oak tree. He didn't notice I was here yet. I saw him rubbing his eyes, and running his fingers through his hair. He really did look devastated.

I stepped out the car, wiped my eyes, and walked towards him. He looked at me, and gave a slight grin.

"Don't look so happy, because I just don't even know how to feel towards you, I don't even know what to say right now, Justin."

"What happened last night, was not what I wanted."

"Oh rea-"

"Alli, I know I messed up, and I said some things to her I shouldn't have, and I know I've hurt you. I just didn't know another way to leave me alone."

"How about "I'm with someone right now, go away!"

"It's not that easy. She wouldn't listen."

He got down on his knees, grabbed my hand and kissed it gently.

"If you let me show you, how much I really do like you, I swear you won't regret it. I'll call Selena and tell her in person that I've found someone new and someone better who makes me happy." he said letting out a shed of a tear.

"Fine, I'll give you another chance. But please don't hurt me again like that." I said wiping away my tears.

He jumped up, smiled, picked me up and swung me around like they do in those movies. I could tell he really meant what he said to me, and I really do like him. I felt like I couldn't let go after he tried so hard.

He put me down, held my hands, and pressed our foreheads together. Before I knew it, he kissed me. My first kiss with Justin. It was honestly so romantic.

"Oh my goodness!" I stopped, slightly giggling.

He looked up at the sky, looked back at me and stared in my eyes and then he kissed me again, but this time, we didn't stop.

It's raining right now. It feels like I'm in a fairytale. I know for sure that this is what I want, and this is how it's supposed to be. I also know this is what he wants and his feelings for me, are defintely there.
