Emma's mind drifted back to two weeks ago. Her date's name was Josh. She was so excited to have met someone who was actually normal that she had forgotten that the bowl was so close to her hand. The bowl of hot soup.

It had gotten all over the table and reached far enough to spill into her date's lap. He said he wasn't bothered by it. But he hadn't called her back for the second date. Emma had lost her sight when she was 14, although she could make her way without too much trouble these were the moments that it was most frustrating.

This time was "different" or so her best friend Lexi said. Her friend had been setting her up with a new guys every two weeks. Emma's confidence dropped lower with each failed attempt. She felt a hand on her arm. She was glad Lexi would sit with her until the date showed.

"Looks like Matt is here."

Emma got a shaky feeling but reminded herself one thing. 'Anyone who can't look past my blindness is a person I'm happy not to see.'

"Hey Matt. Matt this is Emma. Emma this is Matt."

Emma stuck her hand out and took a deep breath in. His cologne was very subtle and smelled nice. They shook and exchanged pleasantries.

"Look I know we agreed on dinner but would you mind if I changed our plans slightly? I rented out a place I thought you'd like to go Emma. And I brought picnic food so if you are hungry we can eat. I hope it's not an inconvenience."

Well at least he was polite.

"I'm ok with that."

**************
Emma and her date had walked a few blocks and suddenly were at concrete steps. With her walking stick in hand Emma had carefully made her way to the top.

Her and Matt had been talking the entire way there and she was glad to have given this date a chance. Matt didn't hover over her to make sure she didn't fall or walk into anything. She enjoyed that about him almost as much as his conversation.

Once they had reached a pair of glass doors Matt stopped her.

"Emma can I have your hand?"

Although a little apprehensive Emma stuck out her hand and let Matt guide it to a cold metal plaque in front of her. Immediately Emma felt the braille and smiled softly to herself.

The sign read "Welcome to The Please Touch Museum!"

"Everything inside has a Braille description as well. I thought you might like to go to a place where you didn't need to see. Just to feel."

Matt picked up Emma's hand from the metal plaque and kissed the back of it. Her heart fluttered and her cheeks almost hurt from her smile. As they walked in Matt put his arm around Emma's waist and pulled her closer to his side. The weather was a bit chilly outside but Emma no longer was.
