Lauren's POV:
The familiar streets of New York bring me back to reality. I'm really here, even though it seems like one of the riskiest things I've done. We should've just called the cops or something, but we know how dangerous Cole is, and he might really hurt us if we did. So after spending a couple of days with Camila in L.A., and deciding to get out of school for a while to be with her for the rest of her music process, I took the first flight to New York to pack my things and then leave for good. And that's exactly what I'm about to do, even though Cole might be around and that scares me to death. I walk back into college and make my way to my door room trying to be as unnoticed as possible. I open the door nervously to find an empty room. I thought Sarah would've been here, but apparently I'm alone. I grab my clothes and other stuff as quickly as possible so I can get out of this place before Cole finds me. Camila had tried to convince me to let her come with me, but she was in a car accident a week ago, I wasn't going to let her fly to New York in that state. I appreciate her gesture, but her health is way more important right now. Suddenly I hear my door close loudly behind me, making me turn around to face it. "Ugh reunions with exes are always so awkward." Cole says with a grin across his face, and my heart starts to rush at the sight of the muscular man. "What the hell are you doing here?" I ask defensively taking a few steps back. "I'm here to see you, duh." He answers walking closer to me. "Cole I'm serious, you shouldn't be here." I tell him and hear him chuckle. "Did you know Austin Mahone? You know, that dude who died a week ago, who also happened to be my friend?" He says sarcastically pacing around my room and I gulp loudly. "Well he was texting me before he died. That's actually the reason he crashed his car, he was talking to me. He was telling me that Camila knew we were the ones who sent you guys those texts and I almost lose my mind, you know? If my parents found out about this they'd fucking kill me." He adds staring deeply into my eyes. "But I can't let that happen, so what can we do about it Lauren?" Cole asks me playing with my hair. I'm so fucking scared right now, but I can't let him know. "I won't tell anyone, I promise." I say nervously and see him rolling his eyes. "You're lying. You told the cops about the texts before, why should I believe you?" He says leaning closer to me. "I told them but they didn't charge you, why are you doing this now?" I say walking away from him. "Because if you say something about me again, they will charge me, and they'll probably put me in jail. And you don't want that to happen? Do you? Because if my parents find out I'm in jail then I'm screwed, my life is over." He explains grabbing my wrists. "So when I'm done shutting you up, I'm going to fly back to L.A. and shut up that other little whore, and there's not a fucking thing you can do about it..." He says starting to put his hands around my neck, and I see my life flash in front of my eyes. And then I only see her. I see Camila laughing and holding my hand. I feel her lips on mine and her arms around my body, and I realize I'm really fucking happy. She has made me the happiest person alive, and I'm really sad I won't get to say goodbye and thank her for changing me completely, but at least I can die knowing that my life was perfect. But suddenly the pressure around my neck stops, and Cole's body collapses to the ground. I take a deep breath filling up my lungs after a long time, and feel tears run down my cheeks. "Oh my God Lauren, are you okay?" I hear Normani's distant voice, and suddenly realize she's here, she saved me. "Mani? He almost killed me." I say running to hug her and feel her arms around my waist. "It's okay, I already called the police, they're on their way." She says soothingly and rubs my back. "What are you...? How did you take him down?" I ask confused looking at Cole's figure in the ground. "I tazed him, he should stay there for a while." Normani says with a worried smile. "What are you doing here?" I ask still really confused about the situation. "I came to apologize again, but you weren't here, so I talked to your roommate and she told me that Cole had been looking for you too, and I got really worried, so I decided to stay." She says rubbing my arm. "And I really am sorry about what I did Lauren. I know you won't forgive me, but I have hated myself ever since." She says staring at the ground for a second, and then back into my eyes. "You just saved my fucking life, everything's okay." I tell her and pull her into a hug. Everyone makes mistake, and her mistake was awful, but life's too short to be have enemies.
Camila's POV:
"So this is finally over?" I ask Lauren laying down on her lap. She sighs loudly and keeps running her fingers soothing through my hair. "Yeah, I guess it is." She says and plants a kiss on my head. "I'm so happy you're okay Lo." I say softly. Lauren came back from New York a couple of hours ago and told me everything that happened. I can't believe Cole tried to kill her. Thank God he's in prison now, and Normani was luckily around to help her. If she hadn't then Lauren wouldn't be here with me, and that would've killed me as well. "You know people say your life flashes in front of your eyes before you die?" She asks me and I nod softly. "Well, I saw you, a lot actually, and how happy you have made me Camz. I don't know if I'll ever be able to thank you, but I want you to know that you've changed my life completely, and I love you so much babe." Lauren says sweetly and puts her hand on my cheek. I sit up straight and pull her in for a passionate kiss. I linger my lips on hers for a while before leaning back and staring deeply into her eyes. "I love you too Lo, and you make me the happiest person alive. I don't know what I'd do if I ever lose you." I tell her with a smile and plant a kiss on her lips again. "Well I'm going to be here for a while, so I hope you don't get too tired of me." Lauren says with a grin. "I would never get tired of you." I answer staring into her beautiful green eyes. "Good, because I'm here to stay with you every step of the way." She says and bites her lip. "So, you're really staying here with me? And we don't have to worry about those texts anymore?" I ask and she nods smiling. "It's just us." She adds rubbing my cheek with her thumb. "I'm going to marry you someday, and when we're older, we'll have the most badass stories to tell out kids about everything that happened with the texts." I say laughing softly. "Even about the sex tape?" She says with a smirk. "Hmm we might have to leave that one out." I answer planting a quick kiss on her lips. "But I do want them to know that their mom is the most amazing person in this world, and I'm really happy to have her in my life." I say sincerely and rest my hand on Lauren's thigh. "I love you babe, and I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." She says and puts her arms around me pulling me in for a long tight hug. I close my eyes remembering about everything we've been through, the ups and downs, the kisses and laughs and tears and heart breaks. I'm not going to say our journey was easy, it clearly wasn't, but it was definitely worth it, because right now, I know the love of my life is right here.
