3- A Life Changing Party

I stood in my room staring at my phone in disbelief, Scott Gunner was my best friends mate. I took a moment to sit on my bed and think. Two of my closest friends are mates, well now that I think about, Scott was always super protective over Ty. I guess they found out when Scott came back from Germany.

Scotts family was loaded, him and his brother went with their parents to Germany to spend their birthday with some family member. The two are all about family, nothing is more important to them, I don't know if it's the wolf thing or just a Gunner thing, but whatever it is, I like it. Because even though their filthy rich, they still put family over the money, and I just find that amazing.

My phone buzzed letting me know that the bank transfer was complete, my dad just gave me my monthly allowance. 1 thousand dollars a month, I don't know why he does this, I have a job to support my needs and some wants. I guess he does this because he feels guilty, but I really don't have time to think about that. I have a party to shop for.

~Time skip~

I was walking through the store trying to find the green balloons.

"let's see, I have the streamers, plates, cups, ice, now all I need is the green balloons. I already have the black ones, oh and I need the someone to buy the alcohol"

"planning for a party I see."

I turned around startled to see where this random voice was coming from. My eyes landed on a decent sized man with dark brown hair and bright blue eyes.

"um yeah I am, I don't mean to sound rude but, who are you?"

"oh, my bad, I have horrible manners. The names Bryce. You must be Lynix"

I looked at him confused. Then I felt the heat, he's a wolf. He must be from one of the packs.

"oh ok, well it was nice to meet you but as you heard with hearing of yours, I'm trying to put together a party."

"I can help if you want, I mean I heard you need booze plus the green balloons are on the top shelf over there."

I studied him for a good minute, not really sure if I can trust him or not, and not because we just met or anything but the fact that I feel like I've known him my whole life scares the shit out of me.

"look I mean you know harm. I'm beta in my pack, we just came here a day ago. I'm sure your friends told you about us. Were here to maintain the balance and alliance with the council."

He was right, I knew all about the black cuffed veil. Apparently, it's the number one pack in the entire world, I've heard about the alpha they say he can be heartless but when it comes to his pack hell do anything. that's what makes him so dangerous. It wouldn't be very bright of me to turn him down I mean after all "humans" aren't allowed to know about this world. And if I sound disrespect full then they could kill me. And if they do that they'll find me out, and I simply can't have that.

"fine. But if you try anything funny ill have alpha Cam go straight to your alpha, and we both know that won't go well for you"

There was a hint of fear in his eyes when I said those words.

"I like you. Your scary."

I just laughed at this goof ball of a man and continued to talk and shop

"I honestly hate you"

The sound of Bryce's laugh filled the room as he rolled on the floor. The doorbell rang and I left the blubbering idiot to laugh his guts out on the floor. I opened the door to a very confused Liam, messaged him telling him what my plan was and of course without hesitation he agreed. Liam was the party kind of man, he was hyper and very smart.

"umm, Lynny honey? What the actual fuck, are you Hitler now?"

I looked over and the dying Bryce and wiped the flour mustache off my face and continued to work on this stupid cake, I invited Liam and Scott's friends from their pack and Ty's, oh and then there's Bryce. He supposed to bring at the very most five people with him, so all together there's going to be around 30 people.

"Lynny? What's that smell?"

"uh cake?"

"no, it's sweeter than that, like the woods, but with berries"

Liam's face turned dark red when he realized he was smelling his mate, just then he ran around the corner to see Bryce just barley standing up

"who are you, you're not my mate. But yet you smell like mate."

Bryce was just confused as me. The disappointment on Liam's face was heart breaking.

"my names Bryce, I'm the beta in The Black Cuffed Veil. I met, what was it? Lynny, here in the party store."

I punched the stupid giant in the chest and glared at him, he stumbled back and looked like kid who was just told he wasn't allowed any more sweets for the rest of his life. God theses stupid male's wolves have such easily bruised egos. I just giggled to myself.

"nice to meet you, I'm Liam, basically her brother and I'm also beta. I belong to Red Sun pack; my brother is third in command."

Just as I was pulling the cake out of the oven the doorbell rang, good the guests are here, I opened the door to about three people holding their own giant fruit baskets. Has they walked in they introduced themselves along with the other guys, of course I invited them, so they know me.

The first girl who came in had shorth blonde I believe her name was Amy, the other two guys are twin brothers named Carl and Jax both had had military cut hair. Jax had black hair and Carl dyed his red. They shared soft green eyes and the same sharp jaw.

Not an hour later everyone was here, I looked around one more time to make sure everything was in order, the banners looked great and the food and drinks looked awesome. I went to the fridge to grab the alcohol and put all of the bottles at the little mini bar I had set up just for the occasion. After having Bryce go get at least five more cases of beer we were ready to call the new power couple.

I grabbed my phone and texted ty and told her to come over and to bring Scott I even told her it was about my powers, just so she'll get here quick.

"ok guys she's on her way, everyone hide."

We sat and waited for ty to get here. We had everything sat up and ready. Just then there was a nock on the door said a come in and watched her confused face turn in to pure joy as we all yelled surprise.

"Lynn, I can't believe you did this for me"

"well who else was going to do It"

Ty just giggled and led Scott around the house, introducing him to all her friends and he did the same.

The party was at its peak and I was beginning to feel sick. My body was shaking, and I was sweating buckets, I got to my room and took off my jacket to glance at my arms, my eyes widen so wide I thought they would fall out. My arms were nearly completely black. I held my arm close to my chest and crawled out the window, I can't let these people see me like this.

Every inch of my body was on fire, my bones felt like they were trying to get out of my body. All I could see was black, the pain was there but I was no longer in control.

"what's happening to me?"
