Ty's pov

I felt this pain in my chest, like a burning sensation. I looked over to my mate for help, his face showed worry and confusion.

" Ty? Honey what's wrong, your pale."

I grabbed his hand with one of my own while holding my chest. I don't know where I was taking us but I do know that I need to be there. After about five minutes of walking through the woods and my mates nagging, we stop at a clearing to see Lynix crying. Her body was covered in the black marks, taking up 90% of her skin. Both her eyes were now a blood red, she had long sharp teeth. 

"Lynny?"

I tried to get close to her but the moment my hand reached no more than 10 feet away a barrier was now visible

"Back away, n-not safe."

Her voice was demonic, almost like she was struggling to keep control. I touched the barrier again and pushed, trying to get through. Just has my hand came into contact with it black smoke spilled from around her leaving her frame barley visible.

"Lynix?"

The voice surprised me, I was so worried about her that I couldn't sense Bryce come up behind me.

"What are you doing here? You need to leave!"

"I can't. For starters she's my friend and for two, Alpha Veil is coming. You have all crossed into his land. If I leave now then he'll throw everyone in a cell"

My heart dropped at these words. I knew that name, that name was feared worldwide. He can't see Lynix like this, nobody can, her secret will get out and they'll kill her.

"Lynix! Stop this! Alpha Veil is coming! Please stop, or at least run! You can't be here! He will kill you!"

My words did nothing to her, she only seemed to get worse.

"What the hell?"

That voice made very soul shrivel up and die. It was him. Just as I was about to explain Lynix let out a scream of pain that made me fall to my knees. My chest felt like I was being hit by a train, my scream filled the air along with Lynix. Just as our eyes met darkness over took me all that was left was everyone yelling in panic and fear.

Time skip -

There was this slight burning in my chest, confirming the fear that was in the back of my mind

"it wasn't a dream, that just happened."

"about three hours ago but yes, it did."

I nearly jumped out of my skin at the sound of my mate's voice, Scott's were slightly red and you could see that small scar under his bottom lip, telling me he's been rubbing his face all night till it turned red.

"baby? What happened out there?"

His voice was just barley covering the fear and sadness that I could tell he was feeling.

"I don't know."

I looked past him to the door, just now realizing we were in a foreign packs land. The panic that filled my body knowing that this was Alpha Veil's territory made me want to just hide under this bed and never come out.

"Alpha wants us downstairs. And Ty? Don't worry, he's not that bad. And plus, he can't hurt you if I'm here, you know I'd never let anything happen to my baby."

I just laughed at how cute he was being, though I knew is words held truth and promise in them. My stomach felt better knowing my mate was here for me. The way he held my hand was silently telling me how much he loved me, just by the sparks running through my arm and down my spine. Looking into his eye made it seems as if I could see every thought and emotion he felt. It was incredible. He was incredible.

"I hate break such a lovely moment but alpha needs you two downstairs stat."

Bryce's silent warning was enough to make me spring to my feet in less than a second.

"you heard the man Scott, alpha wants to see us. "

I grabbed a hold of my mate's hand and practically drug him down the stairs, following Bryce. What I seen in front of me was something I'd never thought I'd see in a million years. Our eyes met and I could feel his words that he couldn't let slip
