Location: The Gallagher HouseHello, Ian. Welcome to Nerve. You have chosen: player.
The Gallagher family laptop spoke to the redhead under his dark blue sheets, the screen illuminating the covers around him. Ian was warned by his friends to not play this game, but he really didn't have a choice.
Nerve is a direct democracy. Watchers decide your dares.
Some of his friends claimed that the game ruined their life, others aren't alive to talk about it.
The two players with the most watchers by the end of regulations will advance to the final round- where the winner takes all.
Though, the game paid you cash for each dare, and boy did the Gallagher's need the money.
Watchers can watch from anywhere, but they are encouraged to film live, so don't be alarmed.
Ian already suspected Carl joined as a player, anyway; He made Debbie record him riding his skateboard down the stairs that afternoon. So he's pretty sure he won't be the only one getting a lecture from Fiona.
There are three rules:
One- all dares must be filmed on the players phone.
Thank god for Jimmy Steve; He bought Ian a phone for his birthday a few months ago.
Two- there are only two ways to be eliminated: Bail, or fail.
Ian's mind immediately wandered to the worst at the sound of the second rule. What if he won't have the guts to do one? Or, what if he did and it lead him to his death?
Three- snitches get stitches.
He had no problem with that one. He lived on the South Side, he followed that rule everyday.
Thank you for keeping Nerve a secret. Good luck, player.
