[Time Skip, a Few Days, (Y/N)'s POV]
My life seemed to turn back to normal once my mother left. I felt at ease with her gone. Our combat teacher, Cody, was still employed Ozpin evidently "approved" of his teaching style. As we walked into the arena like classroom we saw the previously mentioned male spinning his scythe around. He was smirking a bit more then normal. Once everyone was in the arena he addressed the class.
Cody: "Alright. Today you guys are working in pairs of two, however you can't use someone on your team. Also, before we begin I'll give you a bit of information on how to beat me."
Me: 'Pairs of two? Who should I team up with?'
Cody: "So. My semblance has a few flaws which can cause trouble for me. One; the more complicated the object, the more time I need to make it. Two; fighting groups isn't my specialty. Three; I'm not good at dodging rapidly, throw multiple attacks at different angles and I probably won't fair so well. I'm also gonna give you a bit to think of a plan or something along those lines. So keep those three points in mind. Go ahead and find a partner."
He then turned around and used his scythe like a walking stick. I looked around the room. I noticed Team RWBY starring at me.
Me: 'I suppose I could team up with one of them. But which one?'
