You

I sighed and plopped down onto my couch once I got home. My mother still wasn't here so it was a good time to throw the mild tantrum I wanted to have. Letting loose a small scream of frustration, I threw a couch pillow aimlessly and kicked around several times before laying down on my side and hugging my knees. With a deep sigh, I frowned.

Jimin is still alive after being gunned down by a whole ass police force(?). Jungkook officially likes me and I don't know what to do about it. Taehyung, who is now like my older brother is in prison and will be for a long time. And my father doesn't exist in my life because he's an asshole. Why are all the men I know so problematic?

Forcing myself to stand again, I walked to my room and began to pick out comfy clothes to put on after my shower. I laid them on my messy bed since I didn't have time to make it rushing out of here this morning.

My shower started off peaceful. Even though it's bad for skin, I love to let the hot water burn mine. It's weird, I know. I guess I love the pain?

About six minutes in, I swore I faintly heard the front door open and close even though I'd locked it. Thinking it was probably my mother, I decided to ignore it and finish up. When I was, I turned off the water, stepped out and wrapped myself up in a towel. The steam poured out of the bathroom as I opened the door and stepped out into the hallway. "Mom?" I called, looking in the direction of the living room. There was no answer.

Thinking how odd it was that I might have been hearing things, I made my way back into my room in the opposite direction. I can't really explain it but I could feel this weird aura around me while I got dressed. I hung up my towel on a hook by my closet then walked back to my neatly-made up bed to sit down. That's when it hit me like a bag of bricks falling from the sky.

My bed is made. I didn't make my bed today. And it was literally still a mess before my shower.

With widened eyes, I jumped up and stared at the piece of furniture like it was from space. Then my eyes wandered to the pillow of the other side that I didn't sleep on. A very familiar book stood propped up perfectly to stare right back at me.

My diary? But I had left that at the estate.

Every nerve in me was shaking and my body began to show it by trembling.

Is someone in my house right now?

Just as that thought hit me, I heard a loud creak on the floorboards coming from down the hall in the living room. Snapping my head in the direction of the open door to look, a light gasp left me before I ran to my closet. I wanted to just hide in it but that would be useless since whoever is here already knows I'm here anyway. So I grabbed the closest thing to a weapon I could find which was my umbrella. It was heavy by the wooden handle so I could probably knock someone out if I swung hard enough, right?

I took a deep breath and began to walk out of the room carefully. With feather-light steps, I made my way down the hallway holding up the umbrella defensively. Turning the corner very slowly, I peeked into the living room and widened my eyes at the figure standing by the giant open window. They had their back turned to me and were calmly gazing out at the view as if they were just allowed to be doing so in someone else's home. This pissed me off and suddenly, I wasn't as scared as I was annoyed.

"Hey!" I yelled, stepping out further into the room. "Who the hell do you-"

I immediately froze in my tracks when I was able to see the person better. They didn't even have to turn around for me to recognize them. To say that I was absolutely stunned would be an understatement. My breathing picked up to a rapid pace at the same time my heart began to pound.

This cannot be happening right now. It can't be.

"J-...Jimin?" I managed in a whisper.

As if he only just noticed my presence, he turned around swiftly, confirming my thoughts. With a small smirk and that piercing gaze that would always weaken my knees, he lifted his head proudly to say what he does every time he comes back to me.

"Did you miss me, babygirl?"
