Chapter 4: The Nerd Got Some Guts NOT
Erik's P.O.V.
"Erik Sweetie have you done your Chemistry homework? Oh of course you have! Can you help me with it. I didn't understand it." said Alice in the sweetest tone possible. I knew what she meant by help. I meant to let her copy my answers. I didn't want to argue over this so I simply handed her my homework.
"Oh Thanks a lot Erik. You saved my life." replied Alice and walked away with my book. "You shouldn't have given Alice your homework this is wrong." Jenny aka my chemistry partner aka my ex girlfriend aka a friend aka still my crush. "But what could I do. You know how I hate being the center of attraction. She would have mocked me or even asked her hot shot boyfriend Carson and his friends to bully me as usual. I know you hate the both of them so I didn't want to make you more uncomfortable." which is true in a way.
"Don't care about me. This world is selfish and everyone thinks about themselves. This is the current scenario. Think about yourself and don't make others boss you. You are my friend Erik and I want all my friends to have a regret free life." and that's what I really admire about her. "I'll try do that. Thanks Jenny." She smiles. The Chemistry class ends with this.
She is the best friend in this universe. She might not know but she is my best friend. I know she doesn't consider me as close to her. She would rather consider Jack as her best friend than me. Jack is Jenny's neighbour and the two of them are pretty close. Jack is a senior and Jenny's best friend Kacey's brother. Jack and Jenny's relationship is like brother and sister. Jack consider's Jenny as his second sister. He hates Carson and Tyler (Jenny 's other ex boyfriends) He punched Carson the day he found out what he has been doing. He even got suspended for a week. He apparently doesn't hate me because I wasn't the one who broke up with Jenny or left without saying a word or cheated on her.
I was devoted to Jenny but yeah I am poor. My mom is the only working member in the family feeding the 5 of us. Our dad left mom when Toby (the youngest child) was 2 months. I hate him for this and will always hate him. On our first date I just forgot my purse at home so Jenny had to pay. She broke up with me when I went to return her money by giving the lamest excuse in this universe. I am to smart for her? I should be hating her for this but it just doesn't work that way. I can never have any feeling for Jenny apart from love.
