Another day of school. I sighed as I went out of bed to go to the bathroom. I looked at my messy hair, oily face and the black shadows under my eyes in the mirror as I brush my teeth.

While brushing, I was thinking about the conversation with have yesterday evening. I am bothered of what she said. What is her family like?

Last night...

" What's wrong?"

The bed bounced when she jumped on it. She hugged a pillow and sat to face me. She asked as she let her slippers slip out of her feet.

"I have many questions to ask you." I said and looked at her.

"Well, I didn't know that a date would be held in a bedroom. Or is this a different conversation we're talking about and you're not going to even ask them verbally." I almost choked at those words, looking at her with that teasing smile on her face adds a question to my list.

"I... I want to make this quick.." I said as I wiped the saliva on my mouth. But before I could continue she cut off my sentence... again.

"Look buddy, doing this quick won't give you the desire you need." Maybe she's right about that I but felt like this is a another tease. " You have to take it slow to make sure you-"

" No! No! No!" I made her stop her sentence before this gets anymore akward for me. Starting now, I'm not trusting that smile on her face when we're discussing topics here.

" Can I talk?" I started. This is gonna take long if she keeps joking around.

"Well, yeah. Cuz you have a mouth. And just now you did." I shoot her a glare but she just grinned cheekily.

"Ok now, you told me this morning that you don't go to school. Why?" Finally we're starting the interrogation.

"I just don't." She answered. "It's personal." She said looking at me straight in the eyes. Somehow I could see a glint of sorrow in those dark orbs.

Well, I guess I have to respect that privacy. "Okay then, did you go to school before?" I asked a question that can be easily answered by yes or no.

"Well, yeah. But that was 2 years ago." She said rolling her eyes to think. And then looked at me again. I think she's taking this more seriously. She stared at me, like waiting for another question. Well let's shoot the other one.

"What course did you take in college?"
I looked at her staring at me with a neutral face.

"I didn't get to take the course that I wanted for college because my father told me to stop going to school." She said. But then her expression changed into a more serious one. "I wanted to become an architect to make use of the materials we manufactured. I'm interested in drawing and designing buildings. And also this is the work of my late grandfather. He's floor plans was left inside the storage room of the main building office. And I sometimes snucked in to take some for me to copy." Her lips curled a little when saying that last part. "I don't know why they kept it though." Her expression changed back to being serious when saying that sentence.

After she expressed her interest, she looked at me and her brows signed for me to ask another question,

While in my situation, I was silent for a moment before reacting to her gesture.

"Uh-hm." I cleared my throat. "Why did your father stopped you from going to school?" Before she could open her mouth I quickly followed the question. "Or is this also a private matter?" I said which gave her a small smirk on her face.
