Talia's POV

The spacious living room was elegantly decorated with a mix of modern and antique furnishings. A plush cream sofa sat against the wall, adorned with a few colourful throw pillows, while a sleek glass coffee table stood in front of it. The walls were painted in a calming shade of blue, and large windows allowed natural light to flood the room.

I glanced at my reflection in the mirror by the door and adjusted my navy blue pencil skirt and cream blouse. I paired the outfit with a matching blazer and nude pumps, ensuring I looked professional yet stylish for the day ahead.

As I walked towards the living room, the sound of the news anchor caught my attention. The voice of the news anchor filled the spacious living room of my luxurious home. I paused to listen to the report about my father's renewable energy project.

"Good morning, London. My name is Liandra and this is Channel 6 News. Our top story today, Prime Minister Tray Greenwood's multi-million dollar project is expected to kick off in the coming months. Sources close to the Prime Minister have informed us that his daughter, Talia Greenwood, General Manager of their company, Greenwood Global, will be meeting with their board of management and the team working on the renewable energy project. The Prime Minister's plans include integrating the use of one hundred percent renewable sources such as solar in all Greenwood Global offices, and historic plans to turn Westminster Parliament into seventy percent renewable energy usage to replace and reduce oil consumption. While environmentalists have praised these moves, oil companies have rebuked the Prime Minister, calling his plans a hoax that will increase electricity bills for the poor. We'll keep you updated as this story develops. In other news..."

I switched off the flat-screen television on the wall as a knock sounded at my front door.

"Talia, the vehicle is ready. Are you ready to go?" My bodyguard questioned, opening the front door.

"Yes, I will be right there. Can you get my assistant on the phone, please?" I requested, grabbing my bag and heading out the door.

The sun hit my face as I stepped outside, and I pulled on my sunglasses. My bodyguard opened the rear door of my black Range Rover and gestured for me to get in. I slid into the back seat and settled in, my other three bodyguards joining us in the car.

"Here's your phone, Talia," my bodyguard said, handing the device from the front seat. "Your assistant is on the line."

"Thank you," I replied, pressing the phone to my ear. The vehicle smoothly drove off, navigating through the busy streets of London.

"Hello, Emily, have the board and the team arrived?" I asked briskly.

"Yes, they're here but we have a problem," Emily responded hesitantly. "The board is arguing that we're using too many vehicles for security and contributing excessively to global warming. They're motioning to halt the plans unless we make changes," she informed me.

"That's ridiculous," I muttered under her breath. "I'm almost there. Have them wait for me in the conference room, and ask the kitchen staff to bring them some organic tea. What the Fuck is wrong with them!"

I disconnected the call and handed the phone back to my bodyguard, who stowed it in the front seat. As we arrived at the Greenwood Global headquarters, the bodyguard once again opened the door for me. I stepped out of the car and strode purposefully into the building, my team of bodyguards following closely behind me. It was going to be a busy day, but I was ready for anything that came my way.

I arrived at the Greenwood Global headquarters and was met with a barrage of questions from reporters. Emily, my assistant, was waiting for me in the lobby.
