I Hold On

The Trial pt.2

          Everyone looked shocked at first, then releved. Hecapoo and Rombulus pushed their piles away from them. Moon looked at me unsure. "Eclipsa, are you sure about this? The box is a ruthless speaker of truth." Moon looked at me still a little shocked. "If you attempt to conceal anything from it, crystalization may be the least of your worries."
         
          "Im tired of sitting around waiting for you to decide my fate." I looked up at Moon from where I was standing at my podium. "I'll give you the truth, all of it. If that means crystalization, then so be it." That was only partly true. I will tell them the truth, but I don't want them to crystalize me again.
         
          Moon took her glasses off and looked at Shawn. "Shawn, we wish to invoke trial by box." Shawn stood up and ran out. "Yes your magesty!" He came back in pushing a big kart with the box in it. I smiled at the thought of it being a more fair trial. "The Box of Truth has arrived!"
          
          Shawn grabbed the rope and pulled it to reveal the Box of Truth. Star was watching from behind Moon's chair and she spoke up. "Wait, is that Truth or Punishment?!?" Moon looked at Star a little shocked and confused. "No, no, no, no, that's the Box of Truth."
         
         Star looked at it again then started talking again. "That, my friend, is truth or punishment! We played it at my sleepover." I laughed at this whole Moon looked at her still shocked and confused. "You played it? The box is not a game!" After Moon said that the box lit up and started floating.
        
          "Who do you have a crush on?" The box said this as it floated up. It took almost everything in me not to laugh. "Queen Moon!" Rombulus yelled out and quickly covered his mouth. By now I was dying and it took everything in me not to laugh. Moon sighed as she spoke again. "It must be on the wrong setting."
         
          Moon got up and walked over to the box. She grabbed it and turned the nob to trial setting. The box said it's little poem and everyone put their pinkie in and promised to tell the truth. The first question was asked by Omnitaxis. " Eclipsa, did you write the evil chapter in the book of spells?" The box showed a hologram of my chapter of the book.
        
          "Yes, I did. But for the record, I never called it the evil chapter, that was your peoples name for it." Without thinking I said something else as well. "I wrote plenty of 'evil' spells that never made it into the final draft. Writing is rewriting you know." I probably shouldn't have said that last part.
        
          I flipped through a few pages before the book disappeared. The box said truth and I watched Star get defensive because Hecapoo marked it as evil. Moon looked at Hecapoo and said " Hecapoo, the second question goes to you." Hecapoo smiled and asked me the question. "Box pull up the royal archives for me would ya."
         
          The box did as it was told and Hecapoo continued. "Did you abandon your husband and your kingdom to elope with a monster?!?" I cringed slightly at the sight of my old monster "friend" and former Mewman husband. I knew that I had to at least act like I loved him. "Yes, I did run off with a monster! But, could you really blame me, how could I resist that smile?"
         
         I wanted to throw up. I know he does have a nice smile, but how can I think so kindly of someone who did something so terrible to me?!? I do miss Meteora, but I don't think I can ever forgive him for what he did. The box said "Truth, again!" Star awed at it, though she knew that was fake.
        
          I saw Star's face as Hecapoo marked it as evil again. "Come on Eclipsa!" I heard Star whisper from where she was watching. "Rombulus, the third" Moon started to talk but Rombulus cut her off. "DID YOU EAT THOSE BABIES?!?!" What the actual fuck is he talking about!?!
        
          Instead of saying that I simply said "What?". Hecapoo told Rombulus that it was Bobipsa that ate babies. "Oh, I wanna take my question back?" Rombulus asked to box and it replied with. "There are no take backs!" The box then showed a picture of her holding babies about to eat them.

         I laughed at the picture and answered. "Well I hate disappoint you but I have never eaten and babies. I did hurt the occasional teenager but that was  cyclelogicaly and they always deserved it." I laughed a bit at what I had said. I heard Star get mad because Hecapoo marked it as evil. Moon scolded her for getting mad and she sat back down.

            Moon then stood up. "Eclipsa, are you sorry for what you've done?" Why would I be sorry, none of the shit I did was wrong! "No I'm not." Everyone started freaking out calling me evil. Omnitraxis spoke over everyone. "That settles it. Rombulus, if you would." Rombulus raised his hands ready to crystalize me again.

          I had to think fast so I said the first thing that came to mind. "One moment, I haven't asked my question." I could almost hear the sigh of relief from my family. They had been watching the whole thing through a portal only I could see. The Magic High Commission laughed and some looked confused.
         
          Star asked if I really did get to ask a question since I was one on the MHC. Moon said that I did, so I asked my question. "What did you do with my daughter?" The Commission looked shocked and scared to answer. They all said they didn't know what I was talking about. They were all a bunch of fucking liars.
 
          The box knew they were lying and soon we were stuck in a box with the walls closing in on us. Everyone jumped when the walls started moving except for me. They lied, they know where my daughter is. They were all yelling and freaking out. I just stood there.

          Suddenly I heard Rombulus yell "We got rid of your daughter, sorry!" I looked at him shocked. Suddenly the box disappeared and we were back in the trial room. They explained to me what happened to my daughter and Moon and Star told them what we had done.
  
          "You lied to us, we shouldn't even have the throne! Eclipsa isn't even-" Star stopped and looked back at me sadly. "You aren't my great great great great something grandma." I looked at her sadly. "No sweetie, I'm not."

          Star took out her wand and looked at it. "Then that means, we're no more royal tan anyone else!" Moon walked over to her. "You're still a princess Star." Star looked at her wand and griped to tighter. "No mom, we're nobody!"

          Star looked at me, raised her wand and broke the cuffs. I was shocked and looked at her as she ran out of the room. "Star! Star wait!" Moon was yelling after Star as I watched Star exit the room. I can't believe it. If Star knows we're not related, and she's sad and mad, there's only one other reason to be free. I can't be free knowing Star is like this.
