Love to the Moon And Back

Chapter 2

I see an empty seat of two and sit in the right one.I go to my book bag and see Sky talking to Alex - the friend of the most popular people but yet he isn't cool- when I grab my notebook I look to see if Sky is going to sit with me like she always does. I turn to get my Sharpie to write down the class on my notebook. I write down "Elle R. 6th period Intensive Reading" in cursive big and bold. I look forward to see Sky is still not here and look to my right that she sat with the cool kids.

"Why did she sit there" I say to myself. I see Dievis - the most annoying kid ever in the planet- walking over to me waving hi. I immediately put my purse in front of me to make it look like someone saved a seat. I see that he turned around to go sit with the rest of the nerds on the other side of the classroom. I see Sky laughing with the group while looking at me. I didn't know why but Sky isn't like that. I get up to walk over there.

"Aren't you going to sit with me?" I ask Sky while pointing to the empty seats.

"Imma sit with them just for this class ,I promise." She said while looking at the group.

"Ok." I say. I turn around to see a group of nerds sitting in my chair.

"Great." I say while going over there to grab my purse. Every group is taken with aleast one empty seat in each. But every group is people I don't know or are very annoying. I saw an empty desk in the corner connected to no group so I go to walk over there. The desk had cuss words on it as well as scratches.

"What a disgust." I say while trying to wipe away the words with eraser.

"Little better" I say to myself while patting myself on the back. I look at Sky having the time of her life laughing with the group. I sigh.

"Well this is going to be fun" I said while putting my books on top of the dirty ugly desk.

*1 hour later*

After a long class of Mr.Pettinger talking about his boring life the best thing happened to me.

*Bell Rings*

I jump up from my chair in relief that I'm out of this place. I grab my purse and stuff my notebook inside. I walk out of class and bump into Alex. I see Sky already ahead of me. I go to catch up with her until I check my phone. I saw 78 missed messages from my mom. I started panicking  and ran outside searching for my car. I called my mom as I look around... no answer and no car. I start freaking  out even more and run to where I thought my car may be.

"ELLE? ARE YOU OKAY?" Sky asks from the distance.

"YES YES YES UMM I HAVE TO GO" I said panicking  even more.

I see a red Jeep with their door open so I I run to the Jeep and jump inside.

"Thats a close one." I say in relief. I take deep breaths only to be stopped by a boy in the Jeep.

"Um hello, who are you , wait I don't care. Can you get out?!" He says angrily. I look at him. He had short hair with a streak of blonde in the front of his hair- all messy but cute in a way.

He had hazel eyes more beautiful than the stars in the sky. He was beautiful.

"I- I - I umm.. I thought this was my dad's car" I say embarrassed.

"Yeah, no you didn't. You can leave now. " He says angrily. I get off. I spot my car a few spaces away.

I hear through my phone. I get worried and hang up. I drop my phone in fear as I  call again. I park my car in my garage and run to my house. I lock the door and go to the kitchen.

"Mom! I'm home!!" I scream with an echo going through the house.

"Hello??" I ask a little curious. My mom is normally always in the house or she would have told me she gone out. I call her through speaker.She picks up.

"Where are you? I thought you died!" I say dramatically.

"I'm just in the grocery store - what happened? " I hear her from a distance.

"I'm home alone , that's what happened" I said walking into the living room.

"Ok, it won't be long. I'll be home soon. Oh and call your father. He is asking about your first day of school." I hear my mom say.

"Ok ok. Bye love you and hurry up." I say hanging up. I dial my dad's number and press green.

"Hello?" I hear a voice go through the speaker.

"Hi Dad." I say.

"Hey sweetie - how's school going for you? Did you make any friends? Meet people? " He asks.

"It's just Senior year dad, nothing new." I say.

"Why so grumpy? Did something go wrong?" He says in a distance.

"No I'm fine." I say.

"Ok munchkin, i have to go - call me later ok?" He says waiting for an answer.

"Ok dad bye bye" i say hanging up. I sit in the couch and turn on Netflix from the TV screen. I put the show "Reign" and watch through a new episode.

*Phone Rings*

"Hello?" I answer.

"Hey honey, i was wondering would you want Chicken Tacos or Chicken Soup?" She asks with talking and shopping carts in the background.

"Hmm- Chicken Tacos." I say.

"Ok and remember tomorrows your eye doctors appointment."

"I thought it was Friday."

"Well remember you have surgery tomorrow at 11 in the morning so no school."

"Ok ok i don't mind" i hang up and
