Chapter 8

"Elle Richmin! , Elle Richmin!" A doctor said calling my name. I get up and walk slowly inside the hallway where all the rooms are placed.

"Your room is 16 , at the end of the hallway to the right , it's the first one there". The doctor said pointing to the right. We just follow her hand gestures and turn to the right. The room had my files hanging on the door. It was creepy.

I entered the room and sat down on the chair where they would perform the surgery. It had all types of tools and equipment on the table next to it. My mom sat on a chair in the corner. She was on her phone texting someone. I look at the time. It was 11:03 a.m. Why did time have to go so slow? Suddenly the door opened to see my doctor, Dr. Moreno, she was really nice.

I took off my glasses , everything was blurry. I couldn't even see the doctor or my mom. All I saw was a blur.

"You ready?" Asked the doctor.

"I guess." I said shrugging. My mom left the room. They gave me this shot so I wouldn't feel a thing and made me go asleep..sadly.

*Couple hours later*

I woke up with my eyes shut and my face numb. I tried to open my eyes but they wouldn't budge.

"Hello??!" I shouted out loud.

"Oh sweetie , I see your awaken. You can't open your eyes just yet but we did finish your surgery and we moved you to another room so you can rest." My doctor said from across the room.

"When will I be able to open them so?" I asked.

"Pretty soon , you must have them closed for about 10 to 15 Minutes and then they are ready." She said with her country accent.

"Okay, and thank you by the way" I said rapidly.

"No problemo sweet face" my doctor said leaving the room. I sat there alone in the room until someone would eventually come in.

*30 Minutes later*

I sat in the room alone for about a good old 3 hours but no one has came in and I'm starting to panic. I thought maybe I should open my eyes now.. and so I did. Everything was.. blurry. Nothing happened. I needed my glasses but my mom had them and I had no clue where she was. I just sat there looking around until I heard the door open.

"Hey sweet face, so your mom is outside and I've noticed you open your eyes already but the surgery won't start taking affect in about an hour or so. So you need to be wearing your glasses until then. And you have to put these little eye drops every 2 hours or the surgery will be like nothing happened." She said.

"Oh ok , may you call my mom into the room please?" I asked silently.

"Of course sweet face." My doctor said leaving the room once more.  I sat there for around 2 Minutes until the door went flying open with my mom.

"Hey baby ,how do you feel ? Do you see better? Did you feel pain? We're they mean? Did they hurt you? Can you see me? Are you okay?" She said asking more and more questions.

"Yes I'm fine , do you have my glasses?" I asked cutting her off.

"Um yes and are you sure your fine?" She asked again.

"Yes , now can I have them?" I said once more.

"Of course." She said putting on the glasses on me.

"Can we go now?" I asked.

"Um... Yeah" she said helping me get up.

*4 hours later*

I woke up from my power nap , well really my long nap. I opened up my eyes to see an other blur.

"REALLY??" I shout furiously.

"MOM!" I shout.

"Yes sweetheart,  what happened  ? Did it work??" She said blowing up with questions in my face.

"No, It didn't!" I said stomping my bed.

"Well maybe it will show effect later? Just lay down , rest." She said pushing me down.

"Mom , Let of me!" I said shaking her hands off of me.

"Where are my glasses"? I ask.

"Here you go"she said reaching for my night stand. I put them on and remember .. My EYE DROPS! I ran downstairs faster than lightning and searched in my mother's purse.
