THERE WAS A RICH FANCY RESTAURANT IN GOTHAM. The richest went there during any time of the day because they had money. Tonight, the entire Justice League was going to have dinner there.
Bruce and Diana were at the table with champagne glasses. Bruce wore a black tux while Diana wore a skin-tight white dress. Diana's was picked up in a sophisticated bun. Arthur had gotten a tux as well, while his hair was up in a messy man bun.
Victor, who had finally decided to make himself known, wore a tux as well. Esmeralda was finally happy to see him step out and show who he really is. Barry and Clark both wore tux's and we're blabbering about who could run faster.
Esmeralda was waking on the sidewalk before she walked into the restaurant. She wore a bright red skin-tight dress and her ebony curls hung past her shoulders.
Esmeralda had tattoos covering her body. They resembled ruins and were matching her skin tone, so they weren't as noticeable.
The hostess turned towards Esmeralda, "Hi, how can I help you?"
"I'm looking for a group, has about six people." Esmeralda answered.
The woman nodded, "Alright, follow me." She turned a corner before Esmeralda saw the group chatting away with the champagne. There was an empty seat at the table and the hostess placed a menu in front of the Latina as she sat down.
"Esmeralda, I'm glad you could make it!" Diana greeted with a smile.
"Well, the dress was expensive, so I decided to come." Esmeralda joked.
Clark turned towards the Latina, "How's your knee?" He asked worriedly.
Esmeralda smiled, "It's good, I can walk perfectly fine now."
Clark simply smiled before Diana rose up from her seat and raised her glass, "Well, I would like to give a toast."
Everyone raised their glass, "We almost died together, we went through hell and back and I wanted to say thank you to all of you here. Without you, we would have not been here today. So, to the us!"
"To us!" Everyone 'clinked' their glasses and took a sip from their glass. They stayed there for the rest of night, talking about what they were all going to do. Everyone shared laughs and stories, which made them all feel normal.
That was until Esmeralda spotted a man outside the restaurant with an eyepatch. Esmeralda blinked before seeing the man disappear into the night,
Esmeralda froze before Barry placed a hand on her shoulder, "You okay?"
Esmeralda turned her head towards Barry and smiled, "Yeah, I'm fine."
Esmeralda shook the feeling out of her chest, she was sure it was nothing. She thought of how she was happy now. How she had a new family to look up to.
After a few hours, Esmeralda found herself looking for trouble. The Latina wore a platinum blonde wig with a black trench coat. Esmeralda walked around the club with an device in her ear.
"Ready?" Alfred's voice asked.
"Ready." Esmeralda answered with smirk. She was back to her old habits but she couldn't shake the feel of earlier.
Because even in peace comes chaos.
