Thomas and I had just finished conversing over the website that I recently launched as a part of a new campaign my company is running which helps inspire young people to start small businesses. I am looking at adding an aspect that allows people to take out loans and running classes in things such as 'how to manage money,'  and 'how to market your ideas'. Thomas was just running me through the legal aspects of it and I talked to him about the costs related.

It wasn't long before Alex made his way back inside and took as seat in the stool next to me. Lucy turned up the music which made it hard to ask Alex what he said to Beau.

"How did you go?" I shouted looking over at him, before Alex could reply I noticed Beau out of the corner of my eye quickly retreating to the door trying not to be noticed. I got up out of my stool quicker than you could say 'hey', what had Alex said to him?

"Hey Beau!" I shouted catching up with him in the dimly lit hallway. "What are you doing, it's like not even eight?" I said glancing down at my new watch.

"I have a big day tomorrow."

"Bullshit, what's going on?" I threw back.

"I'm stressed out, I don't need this shit. Enjoy your night with Alex." I let him walk out my front door, tomorrow I would call him and work out what was going on with him. Either April must have really upset him this time or Alex must have been straight forward or possibly even nasty or manipulative. I wasn't going to question Alex tonight either I was just going to turn around and lie to my mates when they asked what was wrong with him.

"Where did he go?" Lucy asked

"April called." I lied.

"That explains everything." Thomas answered. Walking up to Lucy at the counter I asked her to pour me a shot and I chopped myself a piece of lemon.

"Alex would you like one?" I asked.

"Just one thank-you," Alex replied. Handing him a shot glass we both counted down.

"Three, Two, One" Tequila taste so bad, why did I just do that... I went for a few more and Alex decided to join me. Moving in closer to Alex I whispered in his ear.

"Can I have a kiss?"

"Of course you can, you don't even have to ask." He replied, pulling me in attaching his hands to my ass and kissing me with much drunken passion. Pulling away I decided to go for three more shots before making my way to the couch. I was started to feel tired but I knew that staying awake and entertaining my guests was the best way to go. My head was spinning and I was having trouble focusing. I stared at the coffee table for a moment before Alex approached me.

"Haha yeah I am soooo good." I replied laughing and gazing up into his eyes. I leaned in to kiss this undeniably sexy man standing above me but before I could be picked me up and threw me over his shoulders and spun me around like a little girl, putting aside the fact that I wanted to throw up it was still a romantic gesture. He had me laughing and squealing and part of me felt like I was twelve again back home. I miss my family, my younger sister Mately, Mum and Dad, my puppy named Pulto. It's been a year since I have seen any of them, time flies pass so fast and we forget to focus on what matters. Mately will be graduating this year and I have promised her that I will be attending her graduation. I feel so old thinking about it, she is about to go out into the big bad world and make her own choices now because she is her own person. If she is anything like me she will work hard to achieve her goals. Alex had placed me down but I still felt like I was in a trance focusing on everything except what was going on in the room right now.

Beau had left, why did Beau leave? By this point I had the worst headache in the history of headaches, why did I drink with Alex here? I am making a complete fool of myself. Breathe Kate just breathe, act cool and focused, everything is fine your headache will go away. I looked over at Lucy and she was winking at me, I had missed that conversation that had just occurred between her and Alex. I was missing something and I couldn't really work out what it was.

"Hey Kate, why don't we head somewhere a little more private."

"Hell yes"

I was up for this, Alex was visually, intellectually, sexually and financially appealing why would I turn him down? I mean come on I would have to be crazy. Walking down the hallway hand in hand with Alex I found myself trying to focus on walking like a lady capable of walking in a straight line but it wasn't really working. Approaching my bedroom door I just pushed it open and fell back on my bed giggling. I reached up towards my bedside table and placed my drink down before turning around to see Alex wearing nothing but his jeans and a lip biting grin.
