In an unknown galaxy, a dance club is lit from light years away. It's always a starry night outside so the party goes on for millions and millions of light years. Nonstop.
In through the sliding doors, past the bouncers, a crowd of aliens and humans are conjoined together to dance to loud, booming music. Past all the clutter, one stands out. She is galactic purple with a fire red afro, shades to cover what is to be her eyes, leather pants and jacket to fit the aesthetic and bright, neon red lip gloss to pop the color of her complexion.
She nods her head to the beat of the upcoming song and then starts to tap her feet. The nameless speck of glimmer looks around as she makes her way to the middle of the dance floor. She moves her hips side to side sharply then brings her hands up and glides her hands down her face to her chest and down to her waist. She lifts one arm up, as if she is reaching for her destiny and moves her hand in a swift left to right motion. She prances around, avoiding the sweaty companions of the dance floor until she catches sight of a handsome man. Everything slows down and fades out except the man drinking his margarita. He catches her looking and winks.
She loses her balance and falls on the floor. Eventually, she regains consciousness and looks up for the man but he is on his way out the door. She quickly lifts herself up and runs in her heels to follow him. The light beaming from outside gets brighter and brighter as she approaches the door. When she exits the club, the light is distributed across the sky. She looks around frantically for the man. Then she catches sight of him, walking around the corner of the edge of the floating club, near the spaceships. She turns the corner and is welcomed with a bright new galaxy that is far, far away but huge enough for you to see. There, the man is facing the galaxy.
"It's always dark and starry out here," the mysterious man says. "That's why the party never ends."
The galactic alien catches her breath and the straightens up. She proceeds to the man.
"Honestly I never thought I would ever see something this beautiful," the man says as he turns around with a smile on his face.
The alien flinches as she blushes.
"The view is quite beautiful," the alien agrees. "My father used to bring me in his A12-0217 spaceship and showed me the constellations. He said to me, 'If you want to find what you are looking for, follow Orion's belt.' I didn't know what I wanted and still don't so I began to explore it to see if what I probably want, wants me too."
The man looks back at the galaxy.
"I'm pretty sure I found what I wanted."
"Ha, a man as good looking as you probably has what he wants already."
"I'm good looking?"
"Uh... yea," the alien says, embarrassed after exposing her quick attraction to this man. "What's your name?"
"I go by the name Light. Well, more like that name I've been given for riding the waves faster than the speed of light."
"You know it's not that hard to be faster than the speed of light out here."
"Don't you think I know that. I was given that name years ago on Earth, before we were allowed to explored the new universes and galaxies."
"Sorry Mr. Light. I didn't know you were so short-tempered. Haha!"
Light looks at her with an angry look.
"Haha very funny, Ms. Daddy's-Little-Girl."
"Hey!"
Light laughs.
"Hey since you know my name, beautfiul, what's yours?"
Hesitant, she replies, "Celeste. Celeste Storm. What's your real name?"
"Mine is Reef. Reef Nebula."
They both sit down on the edge of the floating club land. Reef inches closer to Celeste. Celeste moves towards him too. Their hands touch and they turn to each other, where they are face-to-face. Reef reaches in to remove Celeste's shades. She jerks back and Reef's hand moves back. Then Celeste takes them off to reveal her one eye. Reef stares in shook with stars in his eyes. Then Reef dives in for a kiss. Celeste is shocked but then starts kissing him back. Then they fade into a silhouette.
