My name is Sabrina and this is my story.
It was a cold January evening. It was getting dark. I was coming home from work. As I was leaving the parking lot to go home I saw that the road had ice on it. So I was being careful. My phone started ringing. I looked down to grab it from the coffee holder. As I looked up the only thing I saw were head lights coming straight at me. I tried to swerve, but the ice just made me slide. He rammed into the side of my car. Everything was a blur. I don’t remember anything else… I just remember getting up in a house. A house I had never seen before.
The house seemed very cozy. I was wearing jeans and a white tank top; I had bleach blonde hair that flowed down my back to above my butt. My eyes were bright green. I got up out of the bed I was laying in and walked out the door. I could hear my feet patter on the mahogany floor as I slowly crept out of the room towards the aroma of peppermint tea coming from the kitchen. As I peered into the kitchen I saw a man sitting there drinking tea. He was wearing a graphic T of Stewie Griffin with a leather jacket and dog tags. He had light brown, short hair that was gelled up in the front. He had beautiful green eyes. He looked up from his tea and saw me peeking around the opening into the kitchen. He pulled his eyebrows together in confusion. He dropped his tea and it splattered everywhere.
“HOLY CRAP! How are you here?” He said as he grabbed the butter knife off of the table waving it at me. I gasped as I stumbled backwards.
“I was wondering the same thing. What’s going on?” I said as I throw my arms up in defence.
“You can’t actually be here… I must just be seeing things.” He whispered to himself. “It’s just my guilty conscious.” He franticly cleaned up the mess and put his mug in the sink. He wiped his hands on a dish towel and headed for the door.
“Wait, what? You can’t leave me here. I don’t know what’s going on.” I yelled as he slammed the door behind him. I chased after him. I whipped the door open to see that he had disappeared. I looked around to see if I could find him. I ran to the road to see if I could see him. I noticed I knew exactly where I was, I was in central London. I ran back inside the strange man’s house. I jerked open the closet door and grabbed the first pair of shoes I saw.
I was now walking around central London. It felt different then I remembered. No one took notice to me. It was as if I wasn’t actually there. I just shook it off and kept walking down the street to my friends. I saw Luna sitting on her house steps crying. I quickly ran over to her because I wanted to comfort her.
“Luna, what’s wrong babe?” I said in a soothing tone. She didn’t look up. It was as if she didn’t even hear me. “Babe, what’s going on?” This time I threw my arm around her only to have it fling through her body and to come back to hit my gut. I got up in surprise. What the fuck just happened? I thought to myself as I staggered backwards gasping for air. Okay what’s going on? I woke up in a random house and now I can go through people!!! HOLY SHIT! I booked it down London running through people.
“WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON?” I screamed. “Hey can you see me?” The man didn’t say anything back to me. I was exhausted, so I jerked to a stop only to realize that there was a huskier man with long, greasy, curly hair that hung down to his chest. He was all sweaty and I could tell he was angry and scared. He had a gun pointed at me. “Whoa, calm down. Put the gun down.” I said with a stutter. He looked as if he was staring right through me. There was a girl behind me screaming at the top of her lungs at the man.
“Don’t do it Greg! You know you’ll regret it!” She screamed.
“You slut! You were the one cheating with that man whore over there!” He yelled back. His hand was shaking the gun in front of me.
“I wasn’t cheating on you! You need to trust me!”
“How can I? You stayed at his house last night!”
“I didn’t do anything!” I screamed in fright. He pulled the trigger and shot the pistol he was holding. The bullet went straight through me. I didn’t feel anything what so ever. The bullet went in the direction of the girl. The crowd around us were screaming and taking cover. It hit the girl and she slammed into the pavement below her. She was seizing on the ground. Many people screaming and crying out to the lord. I was so shocked. I couldn’t believe what I just saw. Holy fuck! What the hell just happened? I thought to myself.
I ran through the crowd to a tall building. I climbed up the stairs to the roof. I stood at the edge of the roof. This has to be a dream. I thought to myself. You always wake up before you hit the ground. I took a deep breath as I stepped off of the roof. I was plummeting to the ground far below me. All I could think about was how crazy this was. How it could only be a dream. There was no other explanation. I was about to hit the ground when all of a sudden I blacked out.
