Chapter 6: Wars

It was recess time and you really need to work out the project with Baekhyun. He was about to leave the class first, as usual, but you ran in front of him and he stopped. "Get out of my way." he mumbled, clenching his fist.

"Look, either you help me out, or you're expelled from school. I could just tell Mr Lee about this you know," you scolded him.

He went back to his seat and and looked at you. "What do you want."

"Just help me rephrase these few sentences and how to divide them into slides on PowerPoint." Baekhyun did as told and when you read the sentences, it was quite structured, really. You grinned. He wrote down what to put on each slide and left.

"Thanks Baekhyun!" you shouted before he stepped out of the class.

"Aye Baekhyun! What took you so long?" Sehun asked informally. Baekhyun raised an eyebrow. Sehun nervously scratched his head and apologised. "Oops...heheh...sorry...hyung..."

"You like her don't you?" Chen teased.

"Shut up troll I don't like her." Baekhyun hissed.

"No kidding. She's so sweet like a candy. Your sour bitter tastebuds will turn sweet when she's around," Sehun said, without thinking twice.

Baekhyun smirked at him. "Look who's in love."

Sehun covered his mouth and slapped himself. Chanyeol shook his head in disapppointment. Deep inside Baekhyun's heart, he has this warm fuzzy feeling. It was weird because he never liked being around girls. He hates it.

You went to the canteen to take a seat with your friends. Hyun Ju was eating silently and all this while she was waiting for your appearance. You shook your head in dismay.

"Hyun Ju yah~ Why don't you talk to Kai, Suho Or D.O?" She stepped on your foot and fumed her eyes at you. You knew she wanted for you to just shut up but you smirked instead.

"We're not monsters like Baekhyun..." Suho teased, leaving a wink to Hyun Ju. She choked on her food and coughed, blushing. You showed thumbs up to Suho. You all giggled at her reaction.

As weeks passed by, it was time for the mid-term exams. Baekhyun was still having cold wars with you. No talking no nothing, but still there were arguements. It was shocking that Baekhyun did not mess around with the girls in class anymore.

Everyone was seated in the exam seating arrangement. As if fate, on your right was Hyun Ju. But hell was on your left. Baekhyun of course.

You were doing the exams when you saw a shadow forming on your paper.

"BAEKHYUN DON'T PEEK!" you hissed.

"Just help me out!" Baekhyun whispered.

"Why should I?!" you protested.

"A partner should be helpful and caring right? Not someone selfish....like you," Baekhyun teased, laughing with an evil grin.

You just continued and ignored everything. When you finished the paper, you realised his eyes were still trying to see your answers. You crossed your arms on the table and laid your head on them, the whole paper hidden under your arms.

Baekhyun rolled his eyeballs. He was nervously shaking until the teacher ended the time. He ruffled his hair in anger.

As soon as the bell rang to end school, he stormed out of class.
