Chapter 7
While we walked away, I grabbed my phone and texted Hunter.
'Drake told me to get him the real bear. So I have a plan but he's watching me. When we're alone, I'll ask you where the bear is and you say somewhere where its not and they'll come after it but it won't be there'
I looked over the message and when I was satisfied, I clicked send. "I think I'm going home when we get back" Cassy said.
"I understand." I replied.
We reached the house, and like she said, Cassy went home along with Cole. After, the other guys left as well. "I got your message. And I think the plan is perfect"
I nodded. "How about we go to bed"
I nodded again. He bent down for me to get on his back. I laughed and jumped on his back as he ran upstairs skipping steps. Show off!
He threw me on the bed and layed next to me. He wrapped his arms around me and I tucked my face into his chest, falling into a deep sleep.
I woke up and tried to wake up Hunter. But he just pushed me away and wouldn't wake up. "Ok fine"!
I got up and stood at the end of the bed as he looked at me with a raised eyebrow. I took of my shirt and pants leaving me in my bra and panties. He smirked and grabbed my hips throwing me to the bed and sitting on top of me.
He smashed his lips to mine and sucked my lip until I let his tounge roam my mouth. "Mommy I hungry" I heard Andrew say from the other side of the door.
"Ok sweetie I'll be there in a second."
"Cant it wait?" Hunter pleaded.
"No because I know how both of you get cranky when you're hungry!"
"Yeah I'm hungry for your body!". I rolled my eyes while pushing him off of me and out to the kitchen. I made Andrew dinosaur shaped pancakes and me and Hunter regular pancakes.
Andrew quickly ate his food and went to play with his toys. When we finished, I texted Cassy saying if she could take Andrew for the night. Of course she said 'yes'.
Cassy arrived around 2:00pm and I gave her Andrews car seat and some toys. "So you know the plan right?" I asked Hunter. He nodded and I made my way to the junk yard.
I reached the junk yard with guys eyes staring right at me and my ass. Someone grabbed me and slammed me against the wall. "LET GO ASS"!
"Give me a kiss"
"Ew no!"
"C'mon don't be shy"
My eyes rolled as I gave him a kiss on the cheek and pushed him out of my way. I finally found Drake. "Tonight is going to be where I ask him"
"Great! We'll be there. And if you back away-"
"I won't ok!"
He nodded and dismissed me. I had some slaps on my ass when I was leaving. One was so hard that I turned around and gave the guy a slap.
I returned home and nodded to Hunter. "Uhh Hunter can I ask you something?"
"Uh yeah sure I guess so"
"Wheres that real teddy bear?"
"I don't know if I should tell you?"
"Just tell me. You can trust me!"
"Ok. It's in the cabinet under the sink."
I nodded. "Uh I think Cassy is dropping off Andrew soon" I said.
Right after I said that, the doorbell rang. I answered it slowly revealing Cassy with Andrew and Maxx. She gave Andrew to me as I said 'thank you'. I put Andrew in his crib with Maxx sleeping on the floor in front of the crib. Hunter and I fell asleep shortly after.
~Midnight~
I woke up to Maxx barking and Andrew crying. I looked at the baby monitor that showed what was going on. Someone made Maxx pass out and was taking Andrew from the crib. "HUNTER GET YOUR ASS UP"!
He quickly shot up and looked at the baby monitor. "STAY HERE!"
He ran out the bedroom door and I looked at the baby monitor to see it was black. "No No!!!"
I heard a gun shot and quickly ran to Andrews room to find Hunter on the ground with blood dripping from his chest and someone climbing out the window. Andrew was on the floor crying and I picked him up and tried calming him down while calling the police.
Ambulance arrived with the police and took Hunter away. Maxx woke up, THANK GOD!, and came in the car with me and Andrew. He guarded Andrew in the back seat as we followed the ambulance to the hospital.
I called Cassy and she was there in like five seconds. I watched outside the window of the room Hunter was in. They were doing sugery on him. I couldn't watch anymore.
"Zoe? Should I take Andrew and Maxx for the night"
"Will you please. Sorry"
"Hey don't be sorry! Whoever did this messed with the wrong family." I smiled giving her a hug and kneeling down to Andrew.
"Sweetie you need to go with aunti Cassy and Maxx. I'll see you soon"
"Ok mommy". I smiled with tears running from my face as I kissed his head and he hugged me.
"Please protect him" I told Maxx and he barked in return. I gave him a kiss on the head and a hug as well.
They left and the nurse came out of the room. "You may see him now if you would like" she said with a warm smile. I nodded and entered the room.
Tears ran down my face like a river when I saw him laying there. "Hunter I am so sorry!"
"Hey don't be sorry it's not your fault!"
I kissed his lips. "It is my fault. I need to stop getting into so much trouble"
"Zoe stop! You didn't do anything. And... I like saving you. I get a reward after." he smirked.
Again, I kissed him with more tears forming. "Hunter will be let out tomorrow morning so we can make sure he's ok. You may go home or stay here" the nurse said with another warm smile.
"I am defiantly staying here ma'am"
"Of course dear" and with that, she walked out, closing the door leaving us alone. Hunter scooted over on the bed with a wink. I smiled and carefully lied next to him.
Looking at his bare chest, I ran my fingers over the bullet marks, feeling him shiver. "Don't make me get into your pants in a hospital babe"
I laughed and tucked my head against him. He rubbed it, tangling his fingers in my hair. "Hunter... I love you so much!"
"I love you more Zoe"
"No"
"Yes"
I smiled and fell asleep in his embrace. Everything was ok at this moment and nothing can ruin it.
