Mika tried to walk as calmly as she can, assuring herself that she still has control of their situation. The darkness of the night was creeping in and the rain started to fall. Within minutes she started to run, telling herself it was to avoid being soaked, but knowing deep down that her Uncle's fear has transmitted to her. By the time she came to Club Punta Fuego, she had been scarred by the small trees and bushes she hit on her attempt to take a short cut. There was not a soul in sight. Normal people were having their meal. She is hoping Erika Linder had not gone out for hers.

By the time she got to cottage number three, the rain was pouring hard. She almost fell down the front stairs. She hammered on the door, quite convinced that "they" were chasing her. The darkness the, the gathering wind, and the hostile lashing of the rain built up a feeling inside her that was quite alien to her normal reactions.

For a second, Erika did not seem to recognize her--- her faze puzzled as she squinted out of the light into the darkness and the pouring rain. She gasped and dragged the local girl inside as soon as she realized who it was.

"Mika! What the hell are you doing out there? You are soaked to the skin!"

The dark haired tried not to gabble, even taking a minute to get her breath. But when she started to speak, it all came out wrong. The blonde took her arm, forcing her into the sitting room.

"Calm down." Erika peeled her wet jacket from her shoulders, not that it had done much good. She forgot to even fasten it. "Sit there!"

The blonde pushed her to a chair and she started to explain calmly that it would get wet from her clothes. The blonde just look at her—looking as though she was about to swear. So Mika stopped with her babbling and just kept quiet. The taller girl walked out of the room. When she came back, she pushed a thick towel at her and nodded to her hair.

"Get dry! And drink this."

Quite forgetting where she was, Mika toweled her hair vigorously, looking up with a flushed face, her hair a mass of unruly waves just above her shoulders as the blonde held out a drink for her.

"Let's have it! I imagine you have a reason for running here in the pouring rain."

"Yes." She said almost in a whisper. Now that she was here, Mika felt utterly stunned by what she had done. Why did she run to the Erika Linder? She hardly know the person. Why would she drag her to her problems? Also she does feel a little alarmed being alone with her.

The blonde stared at her with those cold, blue eyes. Mika took a gulp of her drink, almost choking on it--- trying very hard to pull herself back to normal.

"For God's sake! Stop looking at me like that!" She bit out angrily. "You are the one who raced here! What did you come for? I am quite certain that I scare you out of your wits. And stop holding that wet towel in front of you like a shield!" she added in exasperation. "I will give you advance warning if I am going to rape you!"
