Ravenclaw Princess [Book 1]

Chapter 5

I woke up on time, with just the prefect amount of time to get dressed. I grabbed the letter I wrote to Dad and went down. I quickly went to the Owerly and sent my letter. I walked down to breakfast. I sat down at my Ravenclaw table. Then Blaze walked from his table to mine 'Morning Alexa' Blaze said to me me as he sat down.
'How are you?'
'I'm great'
I grabbed some toast and looked at Blaze's face. We stared at each other for a while. I looked into those beautiful grey eyes. Wait. Did I just called them beautiful?!? I've been getting a weird feeling around him. But usually dismiss it.

'So what's your schedule like?' I asked before it got too weird, finally tearing eyes away from his. He handed me his schedule before taking a bite on his toast, and I skimmed through it.

'Okay, we have...three classes together!' I exclaimed.

Suddenly, a boy with brown hair from the Slytherin table came in front of me and started talking.
'Has anyone told you you're a pretty girl?' Oh no

'Yes and thank you for the compliment, but I hate being called that,' I replied. I could see Blaze glaring at the boy.

'What might your name? I'm Alexa Moonstone' I asked.

'I'm Theo Nott' he replied a little disappointed that I didn't compliment him back. The girl who was next to him from the Slytherin walked to us. 'You think she's pretty? Ugh. Boys!' I turned to look at her bringing my cup up to my mouth. She had pug-like features and short cut black hair.

'Well, she's certainly more pretty than you,' Theo said to the girl. I spit out my pumpkin juice right into Theo's face. People around us started laughing hysterically. My eyes widened in shock.

'I'm so sorry!' I grabbed a few extra napkins and handed it to him. 'I was just going to say that that wasn't very nice to say.'

'Well, it's true. Merlin, you've got a good aim. I'm gonna call you Spitsy from now on' he replied still wiping the juice and saliva off his face. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

'Well, I'm going to head to class. Sorry again Theo. Wanna come too Blaze?' I asked. He nodded and stood up. I turned to the pug-faced girl who seemed to be staring at Blaze longingly.

'I never got to hear your name. What is it?' I asked politely.

'Well, not that it matters, but it's Pansy. Pansy Parkinson.' she retorted back.

'Oh, well er-, pleased to meet you Pansy' I rushed out of the Great Hall pulling Blaze's arm to the Transfiguration class room. Once we got there, we took seats in the front of the class and waited. Students started to trickle in the classroom.

After everyone arrived Professor McGonagall walked in. 'Good morning class and welcome to your first class of the year. I am Professor McGonagall, and I will be teaching Transfiguration as you have already noticed. Now let's get straight to it.'

She walked to the board and started writing notes on it. She told us to write these notes in a piece of parchment and that she would transform herself into a cat and sit on her desk to watch us work. I took out my quills, ink, and parchment while I watched as my Transfiguration professor turned into a grey tabby cat and sat on top of the desk.

After a few minutes of writing the notes the doors to the classroom burst open. The girl Hermione, Draco, and I turned our heads to see Ron and Harry running into the room. I rolled my eyes and go back to writing notes. They are idiots.

'Whew! We made it' Ron said panting heavily. 'Can you imagine the look on McGonagall's face if we were late?' he asked Harry.

The tabby cat on the desk stood up and leaped off. In mid-air, the cat turned back into the human Professor McGonagall.
