Chapter 4

We arrived at King's Cross station, and got some strange looks from muggles. I like muggles. But sometimes they're just weird and stupid. I think it's crazy how they can produce magical children.

We walk through the wall between platforms 9 and 10. That's when I saw the scarlet steam engine. The Hogwarts Express.

I ran up to dad and gave him a long hug. He kissed the top of my head and said,

'Write me as soon as you get sorted and tell me what house you are in alright Alexy?'

'Okay, Dad. I love you.' I replied tears welling in my eyes.

We let go, and I watched as he disappeared into the crowd. The only thing wrong with his job is that he has it way too often. I sigh. What can I do? Suddenly, I feel hands cover my eyes. 'Lookie here Georgie looks like we caught ourselves a Alexy,' Fred said. 'A very tall one too' I hear George say after his brother. I turned around and crush them in a hug.

'I haven't seen you boys in ages!' I exclaimed. Together we walked to the train and found a compartment to sit in.

Once we talked about our summers, I decided to go look for Blaze. I passed through many compartments until I reached one with another ginger in it. I opened the door.

'Hi, Ron and...oh hi Harry..again.' he smiled and waved at me. I sat down next to Harry and took a chocolate frog from their stash of candy. Ron looked at me in confusion.

'Ew know oo 'arry is?' he asked with a mouthful of candy.

'Yes Ronald, I do know who Harry is,' I replied rolling my eyes. 'You need to swallow before you speak. It's disgusting.'

Ron just scowled at me with a face still full of candy. I just laughed. We all talked and ate candy for a long while. I became close friends with Harry.

'This is my pet Scabbers. Fred gave me a spell to turn him yellow. Wanna see?' Ron asked

'Yeah,' Harry and I said at the same time.

Suddenly the compartment door opened, and a girl with bushy brown hair stood at the doorway. She looked around the compartment and sighed.

'Has anyone seen a toad?" she asked.

'A boy named Neville lost one'

We all shook our heads, she noticed Ron holding up his wand.

'Oh, are you doing magic? Let's see them.' She said holding her head up high. Ron cleared his throat once more.

'Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow.' He exclaimed. Noting happened. He looked at us and shrugged. We did too.

'Are you sure that's a real spell?' the girl asked with an as-a-matter-of-fact-look on her face. 'Well, it's not very good is it?'

Ron looked at us, and we glanced at her.

'Of course, I've only used simple ones myself. But they've all worked for me.' She took out her wand and walked into the compartment. She sat opposite of Harry and Brought her want to his face.
