Leigh groaned as she woke up. She had been having twinges in her stomach all night. She and Iain has been arguing over the baby's name. He wanted to name her Ellie but Leigh wanted to name her Poppy.

In a heated moment, Leigh had told Iain she hated him. Iain stormed out leaving Leigh on her own.  She wanted him to come back.

Leigh went through to her living room and groaned. She wanted a house now she had a baby to think of. Her flat was too small. She was going to spend the day looking for a nice house.

Leigh went online as she ate her toast and drank her tea. Becky was coming over to help Leigh out.

Leigh groaned and had to set down her toast. She had a pain in her stomach again.
"Stop moving baby girl," Leigh begged. She rubbed her huge bump gently.

When she finished eating she put her plate and cup in the dishwasher. Becky had text saying she was on her way over with the kids. Leigh found a nice little house. It was in her price range too.

Leigh put down a deposit on the house and it had been accepted. She couldn't wait to move in and make it her own.

The flat buzzer went off so Leigh stood up, with great difficulty, to let whoever it was in.

Leigh went back to the sofa and groaned. She hated walking around so much.

The front door opened and Becky walked in. "Hey you."
"Mehh."
"Sucks doesn't it? Coming to the end of pregnancy?"
"Yeah. The baby won't stop moving," Leigh said. She sat down and groaned. Luke was asleep in his car seat. Taitlyn smiled at Leigh.

Becky made Leigh a cup of tea and made herself a cup of coffee. She handed Leigh the cup and Leigh groaned again.

She rubbed her bump and took a sip.
"Herbal tea is all that will relax me lately," Leigh admitted. Becky smiled.
"I was like that with Taitlyn. Only it was chocolate that calmed me," Becky told her. Leigh giggled and smiled.
"This little madam doesn't like chocolate."
Becky laughed. "Iain in bed?"
Leigh shook her head. "No. We had an argument. He wants to name the baby Ellie but I want Poppy."

Becky smiled. "Well, what about Poppy Ellie Dean?"
Leigh nodded and smiled. "Yeah! But I'm not talking to him. He started all this."

Becky groaned. She knew how stubborn her sister could be. Leigh laid down and began to fall asleep. Becky put a blanket over her. Taitlyn cuddled into Becky.

Becky grabbed her phone and text Iain.
"Poppy Ellie Dean? - B"

Leigh woke up and Becky was in the kitchen cooking lunch. Luke was on his playmat. Taitlyn was in the kitchen with Becky. Leigh screamed in pain. Becky ran in straight away.
"What's wrong?"
Leigh pulled the blanket back and Becky knew exactly what was wrong.
"I-I... I think my water has broke. Becky help me," Leigh sobbed. She was panicking.
Becky nodded. "It's going to be fine. Don't worry about it. First babies takes ages to come."
"Cause you'd know about that. You had a bloody c-section!" Leigh yelled.

Becky somehow got a stubborn Leigh into the car. She had text Iain and told him to meet them at the hospital.

Leigh was screaming. "I bloody hate this!"
"Shouldn't have had sex."
"Shut your sodding gob!" Leigh screamed.

Iain was waiting for Leigh. He saw Becky's car and ran over. "You can't kill me today."
"Piss off!" Leigh yelled. Iain chuckled and a nurse ran out with a wheelchair.
"Iain you go in with her. I need to stay with my kids," Becky said. Iain nodded. He ran in with the nurse.

Leigh was in pain. She groaned and gripped Iain's hand. The nurse helped Leigh into a hospital gown.

Leigh laid on the bed and was breathing heavily. Leigh's midwife came in and spread Leigh's legs.
"You're not fully dilated yet sweetheart. We'll be in to check on you in a few minutes," she told her. Leigh nodded and laid back on the bed.
"Can my sister come in before I'm taken to delivery?" Leigh asked. The midwife smiled and nodded. She went to get Becky.

Leigh looked at Iain. "I don't like you," she mumbled.
"I know babe. But happy Mother's Day."

Becky came in. "What's happened?"
"Punch him for me."
Becky laughed. "No. I won't do that. You're both to blame."

Becky had to leave. Iain smiled. "We're going to become parents."
"Y-Yeah."
Iain kissed her head. "We can do this."
The midwife took them down to delivery as Leigh was finally fully dilated.

Leigh held Iain's hand as they made their way down. They dressed Leigh ready to go in. Iain was handed what to put on.

Finally, they were ready. Leigh gripped Iain's hand tightly.
"Push when you're ready sweetheart," she said. Leigh began to push. She couldn't believe she was becoming a mother on mother's day. Iain kept encouraging her along the way.
"The head and shoulders are out. Keep going," he said to her. Leigh nodded and pushed again.

Iain looked between Leigh's legs. "She's nearly here."
"What?"

Leigh gave one final push and her baby girl had been born. "Mr Dean. Do you want to cut the cord?" The midwife asked.
"Y-Yeah."

Iain cut the baby's cord and she was taken to be weighed and checked out. "She's here Leigh. Our girl."

The midwife came over with the baby. Leigh held her. "She looks like you," she mumbled to Iain.
"Can I hold her?"
"Give mum some bonding time until we get back to the room," the midwife said. Iain nodded. They got Leigh back into her usual hospital gown and checked over her before taking her back to the room.

Iain got into his usual clothes again and walked to the room behind Leigh's bed. The midwife left to get Becky and the kids for Leigh.

Leigh smiled at Iain and handed Poppy to him. Iain sat on the edge of Leigh's bed and held her.
"She's gorgeous," she said.
Iain nodded. "She is. Our little Poppy."
Leigh smiled at hearing Iain call the baby Poppy. Becky and the kids came in. Taitlyn gasped when she saw baby Poppy.
"It's a baby!"
Leigh laughed. "Yeah. She's a baby."

Iain kissed Leigh and held his daughter close. He was going to keep his baby girl safe. No matter what.
