This story is about Lily and Iain. This is my first time writing a story and I don't have any experience. So this might not be very good.

While on her way to work, Ruby witnessed a car crash and pulled over to help the victims. After stabilising the patients, Ruby returned to her vehicle and was about to pull away when her car was struck by a semi-truck.

Caitlin was kicked out of university in London after she was blamed for something that wasn't her fault. She's returned home and her dad has given her a second chance to train as a doctor. Caitlin meets Iain and they fall in love but due to Iain getting out of a bad relationship and due to Caitlin's past in London they decide to keep it secret. Will Caitlin finally be able to open up about what happened on London? and will Iain be put off when he discovered that her dad is working at the ER? will Caitlin be able to get over what happened in london? or will it effect her more than she knows. Can is in be her second chance?

When they rush Ruby to hospital Iain just prays if his girlfriend will survive despite the burns on her legs and on her face. When Iain finds out Ruby needs to be on a ventilator breathing for her he vows to stay with Ruby.

Iain Dean still lives with the consequences every day of what happened whilst out in Afghanistan but this time things have become too much.

After Iain's suicide and he is back working with Ruby he's not the same Iain she remembers and she doesn't expect him to be but she decides it's not fair to be treated like that when all she's tried to do is help him. "Iain I'm struggling too"
