I bit my lip as I stared into her eyes, smiling. She blinked happily into mine, but soon sank into a deep sadness. "Please?" She said behind a scared face of her empty flesh. "Please talk to me." Her voice was clear and sweet. It was almost as beautiful as the way she looked.

I swallowed and looked down, trying to jerk my hand away from hers, but she wouldn't let me. "Come on", she whispered and held my hand tighter. Should wouldn't let me go, but she wasn't hurting me either. She started walking away, taking my hand with her, jerking me forward.

I slowly followed behind her, watching her walk slowly out the front doors of the school, still clutching onto my fingers. She kept holding my hand and kept walking, starting down the street. She didn't stop or say a word until we were in front of her house. Then, she grabbed the front of my shirt collar and ripped me inside.

I stood in shock as she put her hands around my stomach and held me close, giving me a warm, tight hug. I couldn't help it, I took in her scent, closed my eyes, and wrapped my arms around the back of her neck, hugging back. She kept holding onto me.

After a while she finally let go, but I wanted to keep holding on. It was the first warming feeling I've had since my mother hugged me goodnight and wasn't home to say good morning. She stared into my eyes and grabbed my hand again, I tried to fight it, but she wouldn't let go. She wouldn't let me. We went to her kitchen and she put me onto her counter, grabbing a wet rag from where it sat on her sink.

Her hand slid under my hair that draped over my forehead and she pushed it up, tapping at the dry blood that I never finished cleaning up. "What's this from?" she asked as she gently wiped away the blood with the rag that was in her hand. I didn't answer though, my body shaking.

"Shh Shh Shh," She whispered and kept running her fingers through my hair. "It's okay. I'm here Emit. Shh" I looked up into her eyes, trying hard not to cry as I shook my head.

"I- I'm not supposed to talk to you." I whisper and feel my breathing speed up.

"Hush. Shh, shh, shh" She grabbed me by my waist and pulled me off the counter, rubbing my back, kissing the top of my head, it was like she had known me for years. I know she didn't though. Or at least I didn't know her. I only saw her for the first time when I was sitting in my tree watching her read.

Her hands gripped onto me tight, and I hugged her back as she held me. "You can tell me what's going on later." She brushed my hair out of my face and kept holding me. Soon we were laying on her couch. My eyes fluttered open as I looked up at her. She wiped my eyes as they dripped tears.

"Wh- what happened?" I asked, sniffling, trying to push her away. She wouldn't let me go. She kept holding onto my waist, keeping me close to her. I felt warm and protected. Her gentle eyes met mine as she rubbed my back, and the back of my head and neck.

"You fell asleep crying"

"W-what time is it?"

"Four O'clock"

"How long was I out?"

"About an hour." She looked down at me, smiling gently. "So you want to talk to me about what's going on now?"

"No. It's none of your business"

"Well it's none of your business what I do when I read, but you seem to have an interest in watching me." She tilted her head at me, the way that she does, and I bit my lip. It was so cute that she wouldn't leave me alone. Her eyes were wide and beautiful, sparkling bright, light brown. They were inviting, and she just kept holding me, making me feel better and safer.

I felt myself start to shake again but she quickly calmed me down, holding me close. "I looked around, Emit. The bruises, the scabs, the wrapped up arm. Come on Emit I'm here. You can tell me anything. She put her hand on my chin and lifted it upwards, looking deep into my eyes. She leaned in close, her eyes closing as I felt her lips press against my forehead.

Then they lifted from my head and pressed against my cheek, then my nose. I grabbed her hands and she wrapped them tighter around my waist. As she pulled me closer her lips pressed against mine and I could hear a bell ringing in the back of my head.

My eyes snapped open and I looked around the classroom, the bell ringing, sending me home. I grabbed the paper with Ally's face drawn on it and ran out the door, gripping my blood stained arm and sleeve. "Fuck why did it have to be a dream," I mumbled at my locker, slamming the door and walking out of the school. Sitting on my bus, and taking the lonely road right back home, to hell, where I belong.
