(Just quickly putting it out there, she has been compelled once again, to forget parts of this night, and I can't exactly say 'oh no. I've been compelled again by my father.' So just letting you's know, just in case your confused on why Klaus is openly talking about this lol. ALSO if you's are getting sick of Klaus compelling his daughter, that's good but don't worry, it gets better.)

Caution: just in case someone might get upset about it, I have mentioned some words that might be triggering, so I'm just letting you know, well because you never know.

P.S you will meet a very VERY important person in this chapter.

I run my finger over the black curve on the top of my hand, feeling no pain whatsoever.

"What's that?" I look at Hayley beside me, a tad startled

"Oh.. I was just bored and decided to draw on my hand." She just nods

We both turn our attention to the clanging noise that's being made by a spoon tapping a glass.

I look to see my father, standing, holding out the cup

"Let us toast, to our shared gift, Immortality. After a thousand years, one might expect for life to be less keenly felt, for its beauties and it's sorrows to diminish with time, but as vampires, we feel more deeply than humans could possibly imagine-"

Personally, I feel like I should be scared at what he's saying right now but then it feels so normal?

Is he being real? Or is he just joking around.

I haven't even realised a group of men and women walk into the dining area, and silt their wrists, until now.

Like isn't that bad? Why am I taking this calmly? Is this a normal occurrence?

"Insatiable need, Exquisite pain... Our victories, and our defeats."

I watch as the blood drips from their wrist, immediately getting a really bad stomach ache.

I bit the inside of my cheek, I look to Hayley, finding she's acting normal.

"To my city, My home again. May the blood never cease to flow."

"And the party never end."

"To New Orleans."

So hello again, sorry to interrupt you again, but this has to be said, if you are confused on why there are parts missing from this story, it's because it's meant to be that way, we gotta remember that this Alexis' point of view, so we only know what she knows. You honestly probably don't care and you just wanna read but yeah this goes for the whole book. Sorry about all the Authors notes but I'd rather put them in the chapters, instead of making their own chapters, if you know what I mean.

I glance down at the party goers in streets below me; lights flashing, music blaring.

I smile slightly at their happiness

"Don't fall, you'll hurt yourself." My head shoots to the right and I see a boy.

"Um? What are you doing up here?" I ask him, confused and weirded out.
