Life trying to be Piper's best friend is difficult. In a way it's nice. I had plenty of friends back in New York. None here in Delaware. It felt nice to be the popular girl even if your classmates were mostly gawking at the girl next to you. Mostly. Some guys were staring at me a little more than usual. I would turn around just long enough to see the jocks checking out my ass. It was new for me. Male attention was something I never had. My sister was the kind of girl to date all the jocks and lose her virginity freshman year. But Paige wasn't like that. She had one boyfriend all 4 years of high school and when she started college, he followed. Growing up with her gave me expectations of high school that I never had. My sister was a person I strived to be. She's the one who encouraged me to do youtube. She always told me how talented I was. Doing my videos made me feel like Paige. Popular and beautiful. I always felt like the gross little sister when I would stand next to her. Paige has the most beautiful long blonde hair, but she has my same green eyes. She stands 3 inches taller at 5'8. Being Piper's fake friend made me feel like I wasn't different from my sister. I knew in my mind that Piper was playing me. She had something up her sleeve. I mean she's Piper.
"Skylar, you need cuter clothes"
Piper meant well but little did she know I had the cutest clothes in my closet. I wore them on the weekends. The Idea of getting super dressed up for school was totally unneeded. Sometimes I wore cuter things like my floral jumpers and striped rompers, but I liked to be comfortable. Sweatpants and shorts were my best friends.
"Piper I do own some cute things. Believe it or not"
"Can I come over and see? I would love to have a look into your youtube world!"
No one had every asked to see my "youtube world". No one ever did. Except when I would video chat my friends from New York. They all knew about my channel and it was a way for us to connect. It was a piece of home that I guess Piper was going to see.
