三十 REAL LIFE

After dropping of Evgenia, Juliet took up Evgenia's suggestion and texted Yuzuru if he was free to hang out. She was idly walking around the area before Yuzuru texted her back saying that he is free. She told him that she'll be coming to his dorm because she's in the village. He said okay so she made her way over there.

By the time she got inside the Japan building, she was freezing due to the cold 10 degrees fahrenheit. She texted Yuzuru what level he was on and he replied back. She went to the elevator and made her way to the dorm. She got to his door and knocked.

"Hey." He greeted in Japanese. She greeted back smiling.

"Shoma-kun is just taking a nap, and it may be a little messy so yeah." Yuzuru warned her.

"You two are the cleanest people I know, it's not going to be messy." Juliet laughed.

They went to the main room and saw Shoma sleeping on his bed. They knew they can talk loud because Shoma is a heavy sleeper. Yuzuru sat on his bed and gestured Juliet to sit down with him.

"Did you eat yet?" Yuzuru asked her as he got comfortable and laid down on his bed.

Juliet laid down next to him as well, "Yeah I did, did you?"

"Yeah they gave us sandwiches at the press conference." Yuzuru informed her.

"I never got to tell you by the way." Juliet started off. Yuzuru turned to his side to look at her.

"Congrats on getting gold again." Juliet told him softly while smiling. He smiled back.

"Juliet." Yuzuru called her name softly.

"Yeah?" She whispered as she turned her body to look at him.

"I really like you." Yuzuru straight up told her. Juliet was shocked.

Juliet never saw it coming. She thought it was going to be a appreciation talk but not a confession. She honestly didn't know what to say. She thought about his career and fans.

Yuzuru on the other hand, was freaking out on the inside. His face is calm, but the inside was just a mess. He was pretty sure he screwed up their friendship.

The room stayed silent for awhile, aside from Shoma's snores here and there. Juliet was still thinking about all the doubts she has and Yuzuru was still freaking out.

"I-" The two tried to talk at the same time and slightly laughed. It wasn't awkward, just embarrassing.

"I'm sorry, I should have never told you that. You probably don't even like me like that." Yuzuru apologized as he sat up not looking at her.

Juliet sat up as well and put her hands on Yuzuru, whose hands were clasped together. She stayed silent before answering back to him.

"Don't assume the negative. I was just shocked because I didn't think you would like me like that." Juliet told him.

"What's not to like? You're sweet, kind, funny, you never care what anyone thinks about you, also you're always there for me when I need it." Yuzuru told her while looking at her.

"I like you too." Juliet finally confessed back while smiling. Yuzuru looked at her only to see her looking at him. He smiled and placed his forehead against hers gently.

"I'm glad." He softly said to her.

"But what about your fans?" Juliet wondered and looked away from him.

"I'm sure they'll be fine with it." Yuzuru told her holding her hands properly.

"But you're at the peak of your career. I'm just going to be a distraction to you." Juliet said concerned looking at him.

"I heard from Alex that you never dated. I too never have as well. I don't want to suddenly be boyfriend and girlfriend. Let's take it slowly and just be Juliet and Yuzuru. Let's just slowly get there." Yuzuru voiced out his thoughts.

Juliet thought about it and nodded. "I like that."

"I rather go slow in a relationship with you and last forever, than rush and not have everything go well." Yuzuru told her.

"I agree." Juliet nodded. "I'm glad you told me you like me. Everyone in the group been bugging me to tell you that I do."

"You too? They been doing that to me as well. Especially Shoma-kun." Yuzuru sounded shocked as he pulled his hand away. They both looked at Shoma who was soundly asleep still and looked at each other and laughed.

"How does this work? If we're just Juliet and Yuzuru?" Juliet asked him.

"We'll be like how we're always are. Though I hope I get to hold your hands more." Yuzuru smiled at her. She grabbed his hand.

"Yeah you do."

Yuzuru yawned making Juliet yawned. Yuzuru put his arms around Juliet waist and pulled her down with him to lay down.

"Sleep." He told her, "It's been a long day for the both of us."

Juliet turned around facing his chest and closed her eyes. Yuzuru noticed that she fell asleep and smiled. He finally got the girl of his dreams. Although they're not official, in his mind they are. Yuzuru closed his eyes and pulled her closer to him and fell asleep.

Fun Fact:
This is not about Juliet but about the story. I named it Romeo and Juliet because unlike Romeo and Juliet, they have a happy ending and it's slow. Romeo + Juliet were a fast relationship, which ended tragic. Yuzuru + Juliet is a slow, which will end happily. The contrast between it major, and that's what I love about it.
