Chapter 2 Sacrifice

Donnie's POV

All four of us were jumping across the city rooftops. Protecting the city at night, but the air seemed tenser.

It didn't help with what played out only a few hours ago before patrol.

Why did Raph have to pick on Mikey for such little things, all he was doing was staring at us, not even that, he was just waiting.

Mikey may be annoying but he was harmless, we all knew Mikey saw things differently I didn't even notice him looking over at us, it's not like he was hurting anybody.

I can get protective over Mikey more than I am with Raph and Leo.

It's nothing personal its just Mikey's my only younger brother if something happened to him I would never forgive myself. - I would sacrifice anything to make sure he was okay

I noticed Leo raise his hand right before jumping across another rooftop indicating for us to stop.

Because we were so close to the edge when Leo stopped us, it led to Mikey and Raph walking into each other.

Raph, of course, let out an annoyed
Grunt.

Soon after, Raph and Mikey were at each other's necks yelling there heads off for some random reason.

"GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF THE CLOUDS MIKEY!"

"ITS- It's not my fault we stopped so close to the edge!!"

"MAYBE IF YOU WERE PAYING MORE ATTENTION YOU WOULDN'T MESS UP SO MUCH!"

"I just have things on my mind Raph!"

I swear I heard Mikey softly mumble under his breath something but all this yelling was making my head turn, I probably imagined it.

I didn't have much time to think before (finally) Leo cut in.

"Will both of you just knock it off and focus!?"

"I would love to knock something out, fearless" Raph rebuked, glaring Mikey down.

"Raphael!" Leo snapped back, I could easily tell he was trying to keep his cool being the leader and all but honestly I didn't blame him, the amount of time he's had to snap back at someone tonight was endless.

"Why did we stop Leo?" I said trying to change the subjects before it got worst.

Leo looked over to me thankful that I tried to change the subject.

He walked back over to the edge and looked down to the warehouse, I didn't even notice we here so close to it.

As I walked over to the side of Leo looking down with Mikey and Raph following behind me.

"Foot" was all I heard and was all I needed to hear to know they were probably getting more stuff for the shredder.

"What do you think they're trying to get this time?" I replied.

"I don't know but it can't be good that's for sure"

"Well then let's pay them a little visit shall we?" Raph said slamming his fist into his palm.

Leo told us the plan and we all nodded indicating we all understood what to do. Then he gave us the signal as we snuck down the building heading into the warehouse.

"Booyakasha!" Mikey yelled out madly spinning his nunchaku.
