Jeunice POV

The essence of happiness grasps to my day. I see the glimpse of the starlight twinkling in the dawn sky. I feel the breeze twirling and whispering in my ears as I watching our green ranches underlay its reddish tomatoes in the plants. I vision out the sun as yet stowing away in the mist cloud. I feel the atmosphere of the place as the cold breeze touches my face. I woke up before in toward the beginning of today to cook some delicious breakfast for my family and my pet name Cedie. While I was in the kitchen, I sort out the sharp materials and other utensils and put it in the proper places. In a couple of minutes, I myself was totally done cooking rice and chicken adobo placing it in a bowl to keep up its warmness. I all of a sudden I go back to my room to well sort out my blanket and cotton pillow.

...

As the sun goes up, I heard the chickens yelling "Cock-a-doodle-doo Cock-a-doodle-doo" like a sweet voice in my ears. I see the trees gliding together with the breeze. My name is Jeunice. I am now 18 years of age and I am the eldest sibling in the family. My father is a farmer same with my mother. We have our own particular ranches offered by the Dawson Family, the official owner of this ranch, yet, it doesn't sufficient to maintain the needs of my family. A year ago, I was going to stop in my studies in light of the fact that my parents did not run the payments and other obligations in the school with the goal that I'm attempting myself to find a work in the city to help my family monetarily. I didn't experience to have a boyfriend, in short NBSB. There are a few men who attempt to court and give me as their girlfriend yet I ignore every one of them since it's such a stupidity to have a boyfriend in my young age, I disregard that thing in light of the fact that my family is just my priority and that is it. But there's the only man that I accidentally fell in love with him. But I don't know where he is right now.

"Good morning Jeunice," my dad said sweetly as he kissed my cheeks.

"Good morning too, Papa" "Where's Mama?" I answered.

"She goes straightforwardly to the ranch to check whether it is now had ripe tomatoes or not," he said.

"I packed some rice and adobo and bring it to the ranch for you to have energy with Mama," I said worriedly.

"Okay," he said in final.

I would like to express a sincere gratitude to our Almighty God because he gives me a family who are kind-hearted, responsible, lovable and generous. I go straightforwardly to my two younger siblings and sister named James and Jennifer. James is as of now 15 years of age, he needed to stop his studies to help our Papa and Mama in the farm yet Papa won't let him work since it isn't a piece of his obligation at his young age. In some cases, I get rage with him in view of his hard-headed attitude and constantly needed to confer Jennifer to cry. In the interim, Jennifer is six years of age; she is an adorable and god-talented youngster like me. Dissimilar to James who is naughty and continually getting me mad.

"James, Jennifer get down, breakfast is prepared," I said tranquility with authority.

"It was too early my dear sister" "I feel too tired," James said in a baritone voice.

"We have an agreement as of now, you should bring Jennifer to her school at the present time" I frantically said while putting the plate on the table.

This is one of the daily routines that make me feel dizzy yet it was abruptly faded as long as I see my family blissful and fruitful.

"Let's took a bath first, baby girl" I sweetly said.

"Sure, sister Jeunice" her answer.

Barely any hour passes by; James goes with Jennifer to her school while I am setting myself up to offer new tomatoes in the barrio gathered by my dad yesterday. In every single day, I delivered all of these tomatoes straightly to the factories together with my co-farmers. Two baskets of tomatoes are equivalent to 150 pesos that are good enough for our needs regardless of our wants. Someday, I will give them a better life not something like this, full of hardships and sufferings.
