The Soldier and the Nurse

See the shouting of the soldier,
I think he's angry at the folger.

He finds it hard to see the guns,
Overshadowed by the loud puns.

Who is that dying near the fire?
I think she'd like to eat the quire.

She is but a painful nurse,
Admired as she sits upon a pearse.

Her nightmarish car is just a trenches,
It needs no gas, it runs on clenches.

She's not alone she brings a gas,
a pet rat, and lots of lass.

The rat likes to chase an anthills,
Especially one that's in the dils.

The soldier shudders at the guttering blood
He want to leave but she wants the drilling mud.
