Peter's POV

For breakfast Americus and I made Anne breakfast in bed. I bought Anne a pearl necklace for her birthday. I'm gonna give it to her later today. Otto has already agreed to watch Americus later tonight. Anne was so happy about the breakfast she started crying. She hugged me and Americus tight. After she finished eating we all showered and got dressed. Anne and I are taking Americus to the park again. "Pim! Peter and I are taking Americus to the park we will be back for lunch!" Anne called, "Ok Anne, have fun birthday girl!" Otto called back making Anne smile. I took Anne's hand and Anne took Americus's  hand and off to the park we went.

"Hanneli!" Anne cried running to her friend and hugging her. I smile picking Americus up. Anne had mentioned her a lot in the annex. "Hanneli," Anne says walking back over to us. "This is my boyfriend Peter and m-our daughter Americus." Hanneli's eyes widen because she knows I was in the annex with Anne and Americus looks so young. "Hanneli! She's adopted!" Anne says laughing which seems to relax Hanneli's face and she starts laughing along with Anne. Anne invites her to the park and she accepts. Her and Anne talk the whole way there and I talk to Americus.

We get to the park and I set Americus down. Before we came we went to Hanneli's house and got her sister who is around Americus's age. They became great friends before we even hit the park and ran off to play together. "Isn't it hard taking care of kids?" Hanneli asked Anne who said, "sometimes but not really. Only because we haven't had ours for long." Hanneli told us that she was the only one left to take care of her sister Gabby so she was kind of like a mom now. Anne felt really bad for Hanneli because she still had her father.

At 6:00 Anne and I went out for dinner for her birthday. She was ecstatic about the necklace. I was happy  had picked the right gift. We had a peaceful night Anne had a party at home. We all had so much fun.
