"Eds!" Richie yells out from across the hallway at school. Eddie rolls his eyes and smiles,"Don't call me Eds." Richie laughs at him. "Fine." He replies, messing up Eddie's hair. They both had two classes together. And in those classes, Eddie would catch himself staring at Richie with heart eyes. Richie rarely caught him, and if he did, Eddie would turn as red as a tomato. They both walked into social studies and Eddie gently sat down as Richie flung himself into his chair without giving a fuck. "Okay class, today we'll be learning about the Industrial Revolution." Everyone groaned. The teacher handed out packets for everyone. "Everyone will pick a partner and work on this together." Eddie and Richie immediately looked at each other, Richie wiggled his eyebrows. Everyone got with their partners and Richie skipped over to Eddie's desk, scooting a nearby desk near his. "I don't get this shit." Richie groaned. Eddie looked at him,"I'll help you with it after school if you'd like." He looked into Eddie's eyes. "That'd be cool, Eddie Spaghetti." They didn't do their packet, Richie only made jokes about Eddie's mom to aggravate him.

After school, they both walked to Eddie's house. They both sat down at Eddie's kitchen table and got out the packet and pointed at a picture of a factory. "Back then, people had to work in hard conditions in the factories. Also, age didn't matter, you still had to work. Even if you were 5 years old." Richie yawned. "Boring." Eddie groaned and put down his pencil "I know. Hey, how about we take a break?" Richie agreed. Eddie then got up from the table and searched the cabinets for a snack for him and Richie.

Eddie's mom walks in the house and sees her son and Richie sitting at the table watching Eddie. Mrs. Kaspbrak spoke with a plain and simple voice "How was school Eddie bear?" Eddie shrugged. "Hello, Richie." She went to the bathroom and Eddie picked up a pack of graham crackers. "How about we eat this in my room?" Richie agreed and they both walked into his room.

Eddie sat down on his bed and opened the package, then they both reached for the same cracker-their hands touching. Eddie's eyes got wide as he began blushing. Richie slightly smiled and lifted his hand up and put it on Eddie's face. His heart was racing and Richie started leaning in. Eddie's mind was everywhere at that moment, he felt himself leaning in too. They barely touched lips when Eddie's mom knocked on the door. Richie jumped and took the cracker from the package. "Yes, mommy?" He asked. Mrs. Kaspbrak yawned, "I'm going to go out to get some groceries. Don't wreck the house." "I won't mom!" Eddie's mom finally left, and Richie and Eddie looked at each other, and laughed.
