The next morning George woke up extremely tired. He didn't know how long he had slept but the dark cirkles under his eyes indicated that it hadn't been very long.

"What happened to you? Did you try to put on make-up and completely failed?" Harry asked in a joking manner.

"Nope. It's all natural. Thanks for the compliment."

He nearly fell asleep again at the breakfast table but the loud click of the letter-box woke him up again.

"Dudley, get the post," said Uncle Vernon from behind his paper.

"Let George get it," said Dudley.

"Get the post, George."

Dudley grinned at him triumphantly and George groaned as he stood up.

There were several letters on the doormat but on top of all of them, there was another letter addressed to Mr G. Potter.

Harry saw George returning. He handed Uncle Vernon three letters but took one with him and sat down. It was very similar to the one the day before. Why was George taking it to the table and didn't hide it from the Dursleys? Was he really that stupid? He knew what had happened the day before. They would definitely take it from him at any moment. He had been so angry at Harry for doing it the day before and now he was doing exactly the same. He was probably too tired to even realize his mistake until it was too late.

A few moments later Uncle Vernon had already snatched the letter out of George's hand.

"Give it back! It's mine!"

Uncle Vernon got out a lighter and burned the letter right there at the table in front of all of them. The others looked at him, shocked, while he was grinning like a mad man.

"Go to your room. Now!" he bellowed at Harry and George. They slowly got up and went to their room, looking sad.

When they had closed their door, George listened for any noises on the other side of it. When he was sure the Dursleys wouldn't turn up unexpectedly, he turned around and grinned at his little brother. Harry was completely confused and thought his brother was slowly loosing his mind.

"What is the matter with you today?" he asked George disturbed, "we could finally have known what was in that letter and you just blow all of our chances. And why the hell are you happy right now?"

George just grinned at him. "I have a surprise!" He put his hand in his pocket and took it out again. Something was in his hand now. When he opened it, a wrinkled letter appeared.

"But the Dursleys just took it from you," Harry said confusedly.

"Well, obviously there were two letters today," George laughed.

"But why would you give one to the Dursleys?"

"It was funnier that way. Did you see how angry Uncle Vernon looked? It was extremely amusing. But let's look at it now. I want to know what it says."

He opened it and out came two pieces of parchment.
