Another long day has come to an end. We have been here for about two weeks and I am starting to get used to the thought of the place, I mean, the whole idea is kind of cool except the kidnapping people part. I have my own room with a big bed and a window. My new family is treating Wyatt, John and I as one of them. It is starting to get late and I am sure that the rest of the house is already sleeping, but I can't stop thinking about Aliyah. She is so mysterious, and I want to get to know her."hey, are you awake?" I almost screamed but she took her hand over my mouth and hushed me. What is Aliyah doing here? In my room? What?? "how did you, why are, what?" was what I managed to say, "follow me" she said and jumped out of the window. I throw some pant on and a hoodie and followed her into the woods. "where are we going?" I asked, curious of where we were going and what we were going to do. She answered with a smile and climbed up a tree. When I got up she was sitting on a branch outside a little tree house, she was looking up at the clear sky.
"so, do you live here?" I asked and sat down beside her. "yes" she kept looking up "with who?" she looked at me "alone, far away from everyone" I felt like I couldn't ask about her family in case the where dead. "Aliyah, why did you want me to come here?" I looked at her "I am curious, I have some question" she paused and took a deep breath, "but can you start telling me about you?" she asked, I was surprised, "yeah of course, so I am seventeen, my name is Cassius as you already know. I am from England." I tried to think about what I could tell her "hmm I used to spend a lot time playing guitar and hang out with my friends" "do you miss your family" she asked quick, "question for question?" she nodded "ok, where do I start? Why were you spying on us earlier today" she laid down and looked up at the skies again, "you got to know everyone here to survive".
"ok, my turn. Do you miss your family?" I laid down. no one can find out that my father is here yet, they would probably kill one of us if not both. "yes, I miss my little sister, my mom died many years ago, so she has lost everyone close to her." "my father left when we were young" I quickly added. "what about your family?" I asked her, "well they have never been around, I don't know my mom and my dad have been training me since I was little, and he forced me to move out and as a survival test." "when I got back, our people had turned against each other and half of the citizens were gone, including my dad" she said, she didn't look sad or anything.
"anyway, are you scared?" "I don't know actually, I mean I kind of am, but you could be my protector, and I feel safe around you." Those last words just slipped out of my mouth, she sat up and looked at me "you feel safe around me? We don't even know each other, for all you know I could have lured you here just to kill you." She smiled "yeah anyway, why did you bring me up here?" I asked seriously "when you saw me in the trees earlier today and I asked you not to tell anyone, you didn't. you still haven't asked why I hushed you or why you couldn't tell anyone. I want to have someone I can trust here, and I was hoping you would teach me about people?" she answered. I was a bit shocked with her answered. She seemed like a girl that don't want to be around people nor learn how to fit in.
"on one condition, you must teach me about this island and the people that live here. And yeah, how to hunt" she laughed "no problem, let's start tomorrow, meet me here after sunset" I nodded and started to climb down the tree, the clock is so much, and I have to sleep so my new family wont suspect that I have been out all night. She waved as I started on my way home. She is unique, and I don't know why but I am excited for tomorrow.
