My turn

I have absolutely no idea what I am going to teach Aliyah today. Like, I don't even know anyone. Should I prepare for the "tutoring"? "Cassius, you gotta join us to a place we found" Wyatt slammed up my door and nearly gave me a heart attack. Wyatt have gotten so many friends since we got here, I am not jealous or anything but I kind of wished I have taken my time to socialize more. "you and the boys?" I asked him, he nodded as an answer and throw me a pair of shorts and a t-shirt, "get dressed, we are leaving in five" he said before leaving my room.

I got dressed and took with me an apple for breakfast. I have never really hung out with Wyatt's friends before, I just hope they are chill and not like the idiots I used to go to school with. "the boys are already their since you slept forever but it is only like 10-15 minutes away" Wyatt said, "dude you know I need to get enough sleep and I am still really tired" I laughed.

We have been walking for probably around 20 minutes "Wyatt are we lost?" I asked, he looked around and answered me nervously " nooo, ehmm I think its this way" he said and pointed towards some random trees, " you THINK, we have been walking around forever and you think we are going the right way!" I almost yelled at Wyatt for being so stupid. "shut up, I am doing this for you, you have not gotten any friends besides me since we got here" he answered, " you know that's not true" I defended myself "that mysterious girl from the woods doesn't count and you know it".

We both went silent, I wanted to say something to defend but I don't know why. Maybe Wyatt is right, she is just some random girl, maybe she is just using me to get to know everyone else. I was confused and eventually felt sorry for screaming at Wyatt when he just tried to help me get some friends. "I am so sorry, I didn't mean to say that, I don't know anything about her, she is probably cool since she wants to hang out with you" Wyatt apologized before right before me "no you are right, you are just trying to help me, and I am such a jerk for not seeing that" I said, "but you said we should go that way?" I asked I pointed in his direction, he smiled and started walking.

"okay we are here, get ready to be impressed" Wyatt said and walked around some big leaves. I followed him and saw this big waterhole with a waterfall and vines, the other boys were in the water and jumped from a kind of small cliff. "isn't it amazing? We found it yesterday and since the path was slightly gone we are guessing no one else on this island is using this awesome place" Wyatt said while he was taking his shirt of, "are you joining?" he asked. This was so cool; this place is like every hidden paradise in movies.

Time passed, and I got to know the boys and I think I am going to get really good friends whit them. I told Wyatt I had to go and meet Aliyah, he made an excuse for us to go home. On the way home we talked mostly about Aliyah " you should meet her sometime" I said "I just have to talk to her" I continued Wyatt smiled and nodded. Wyatt is such a good friend to me and I think h would get along quit well with Aliyah.

"don't go to bed too late tonight, okay? You need more sleep" Wyatt said before entering the house and saying goodbye. I started walking to Aliyah, it wasn't too late, but it would be better if we meet a little earlier, so I would get the right amount of sleep that I need. The way to Aliyah is probably the way I know the best on this island by now.

"took you so long?" Aliyah asked hanging from a rope next to her tree house. "sorry but I got to know some new people today, so I thought it would help our "class"" I said. Aliyah climbed back up while I struggled to get up the first branch. I was kind of nervous, I don't even know why, its just that Aliyah is so different from the rest of people I have ever meet.

"so, you know me so can just skip that part" I started "I can start with the people I live with" I continued. "Jordy is mom at our house, her husband died a while ago. She is super nice, and she makes clothes for the village" I didn't know what Aliyah wanted me to say so I just said some basic fact about the people I knew. I could see that Aliyah listened carefully and she looked at me with big eyes like a little child starring at her first pet.

We talked for what felt like hours, she asked a lot of questions and I couldn't answer most of them to be honest. Eventually I hadn't anything more to say and I think Aliyah gave up on asking me questions, we just sat their and looked at the stars, as usual, and it was so nice. I felt so close to her even though I didn't really know anything about her.

"I should probably go back now" I said and stood up, "yeah I understand, thank you for tonight" she said before she shook my hand, I laughed quietly for myself "you surprise me every day Aliyah" I said, "but you should meet Wyatt someday" I said before I started climbing down the tree "Wyatt? Why?" she asked, "you know, get to meet some of my friends" I answered while giving her this weird face "you know we are just tutoring each other, nothing else" she said, "oh I thought we had become friends like we have spent a lot time together lately" I was surprised by Aliyah's answer, I though we were kind of close after these nights. "don't take it personal, I am what you call a lone wolf" she said and went inside, leaving me without saying anything more.

I felt down the whole way back, I was surprisingly disappointed with her reaction and that she said we weren't friends. I don't even know if we will meet tomorrow, it was just awkward and weird, and I don't think I wants to meet her anymore. Oh god, I hope Wyatt have forgotten about her so I can avoid talking or thinking more about it.
