I took a deep breath, stepping forwards, filled with an overwhelming amount of regret, desperately wanting to curl up in a ball and cry.

That never got anyone anywhere, did it? I thought to myself, as I stepped into the black unknown.

It was only now that I realised I was in a seemingly endless corridor, doors lining the walls.

Screw it! I thought as I marched up to the nearest door, snatching up the handle in my clammy hand.

Nothing.

Confused, I tried the next door.

Nothing.

I went from door to door, rattling all the handles, but not one of them did anything. In despair, I yanked at the handle of the door at the end of the corridor.

Slowly, the door creaked open.

I was in a high ceiling-ed room, lit only by a strip of light shining in the centre of the room.

Standing in the mini spotlight was.... Was...

A pair of legs that stretched endlessly upwards...

"Hello?" I called. " hellooooooooooooooooo?"

There came only a far - away moan in response.
